Alex
Holy sh*t!
Emily had started looking like she was about to start a crying fit, and I knew I wouldn't be able to handle that, so I quickly spout off some encouraging things to her. Then, she shoots me a look like she could claw my face off.
She's so plumbing beautiful. I shake inside, and I'm afraid it carries over into my voice. I'm reminding her of all the people that love her. Then, I mention her father, and that wakes me right up. Touching her was a bad idea.
The daughter of my ex-best friend and my most hated enemy. Alex, you are completely mad. This is proof. Stand. Down.
I was crazy. What can I say? I momentarily lost all sense of good judgement. If Drake hadn't have interrupted when he did, I would've kissed her.
"I'm sorry," I say quietly, hoping the universe hears me and understands. Hah! I thought Graham was creepy for being so much older than Brielle. Now, look at me. SELENA was too young for me, and she has about six years on Emily.
I'm not making excuses for my actions, but I wasn't thinking when I almost kissed her. It just felt so...right, like it was useless to fight it. You're insane. You've finally lost your mind.
Emily doesn't get it. She truly has no idea, and I don't feel like explaining it to her. Perhaps it would be better if she never really finds out. Maybe someday she'll figure it out, and I hope she can forgive me.
She asks me to help her find a job. Plum, right now, I'll do anything to make up for my blunder. She mentions space, and I offer to give her my rocket kit. Alex, you plum-head! That thing is huge! Where the hell is she going to put it?
She...wants to come to my house to work on it. Wait. Really?! Have someone besides Masami there with me? Wonderful, peace-exuding Emily wants to periodically visit my house! What a marvelous idea! Then, maybe it won't feel so empty, at least for a little while! I breathe a happy sigh.
Her phone chirps.
It's her dad.
Yes, her dad. Her dad who would really kill you and not think twice about it if he ever found out what almost happened.
What she says distracts me. I still think it's as funny as hell that Graham and Brielle named their daughter Bella. Sure, it's Isabella, but it's just too plumbing good! As much dislike as Graham has for my family, he gives the baby my mother's name. At least the universe gave me this little joke. It's marvelous.
Emily waves bye and walks off, and I do my best not to stare at her legs as she walks away. After failing miserably, I turn around to face the pond, my hands going up into my hair. Plum! I just gave Emily an open invitation to my house with just me living there!
I take a deep breath. Nothing is going to happen. I know where I messed up. I'm the more mature one about this. All it will be is just nice to have Emily over to fight away the emptiness for a few hours. That's all.
My arms fall to my sides. The idea that I'm attracted to Emily is ridiculous. She's the same age as my son. I just have to keep that in mind, and I'll be okay.

I couldn't stand to be around that plumhole one more night. I left to go live with Mom. She's completely sided with me in this. Just like me, she sees Dad wanting to snuggle up to my girlfriend--ex-girlfriend--as another way to satisfy his obsession with Brielle. What a d*ck!
"A disgrace to the Goth name!" echoes in my memory. That plumbing hurt. I may despise my father, but I know he comes from a once-powerful family. He has it in him to be great, but he's too busy mooning over a woman that will never want him.
Disgrace to the Goth name. Huh. Plum you, Pops. Look in the mirror. You're a p--sy. I'm going to make the name Goth synonymous with power once again.
I got a job with Kenneth's company. He says I have a natural head for business and that it doesn't surprise him considering Mom's talent at it. He started me as a junior V.P. I'm going to do nothing but rise from there. Kenneth doesn't have children, and he wants to retire to spend all his time loving Mom. He's going to give me the company if I prove to him over the next year or so that I can handle it.
As a vote of confidence, he gave me his old house. In a kind of laughing way, he told me he'd 'outgrown it.' I guess that's funny because Mom's place is much smaller. I suppose you could call it 'cozier' than this house. This place is huge! I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that it's mine.
I don't want cozy. I want intimidating. I want anyone who comes here to know exactly what kind of person they're dealing with.
There is so much more Kenneth's company could do... But somehow, I don't see him expanding like that. That's fine. I'll bide my time and play nice.
My kitchen is HUGE! I just can't get over how plumbing awesome this place is!
I have my own private theater in the basement! And that's next to the sauna which is next to the spa which is next to a hot tub which is across from a wine cellar which is next to a crafting room which is next to a portrait studio which is across from the theater!
One day soon, this will be the home of the best parties in town.
I have every business man's fantasy of an office. It's gorgeous, which is good because I've been spending most of my time in it, gathering information I can use later.
I laugh to myself. I'll start with that Courtney Springer...before moving to Graham. I've never met my grandfather, but I respect him. Those two plumholes threw him in prison. He died there. He had to die alone in his cell instead of being surrounded by family. That just doesn't sit well with me.
I do have to hand it to Graham, though. He's kept his secret identity a secret from his family successfully all these years. I laugh. And Pops called me evil. I'd never thought Emily's dad capable of that. He just seems like such a softie! Built, but still a softie. I'd always thought with the exception of my dad, he'd never hurt anyone. Then, right before that party, I saw him for who he really was. Pops told me Emily wouldn't thank me for telling her what her father did for a living, and for once, I agreed with him. Now, I don't care, but it doesn't matter anyway. The entire Taylor family can rot in hell.
Speaking of softie...
I'm glad I have a year.
No one is ever going send me down in one hit ever again.
I start with a trainer on Tuesday, but I've been going at the bag in my room anyway. I don't want him to think I'm a complete wuss.
After Pops sent me crashing into the floor like that, no wonder Emily didn't want anything to do with me anymore. That's fine. I don't need Emily, and no longer being with her will make it easier when I bring her father down off that dam* pedestal the world puts him on. Goodie-goodie Special Agent Taylor: best buds with Geoffrey Landgraab. It makes me laugh!
My fists pound on the bag. Revealing all that will be icing on the cake. It'll be what I really get him on, but I'm sure he'll know why. If my lame as* father isn't going to do anything to get back at him for what he did to HIS father, then Mortimer Goth's spirit can be avenged through his grandson.

So, this was really two short chapters smashed into one. You're welcome. Hehe. It took me a little while to finally decide on a title since they don't have similar themes...except trouble. Different kinds, yeah, but trouble.
I also have a surprise cooking up my sleeve about someone I'm bringing in... >:)
Anyway, I took these little pics for myself to keep up with stuff:
Yeah, stupid easy since I threw in some cheats to get him that house in order to move my story along.
By the way, his house is Simillionaire Mansion by BlondieSim. At least, that's what the one I downloaded said. It freaking rocks, which carried over into how Drake feels about the place.
Oh, Pearl Landgraab aged to toddler!

Dang that was a good chapter. I really hope that nothing bad happens to Graham. He's my favourite sim in this entire legacy. I mean, he's such a nice guy, but everyone and everything always seems to go against him. Even his family.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I hate Drake and I hope his life falls apart.
This story is better than most sitcoms on TV
Cool! I'm glad you think so.
DeleteYou'll have to wait and see on that one. I love all my characters, but I'm not above killing them off to further my plot. It breaks my heart when I have to, but it's a necessary evil at times. I will say that he aged to elder before I was ready for him to, and that scared me! I went in and changed it. I think I should just turn off aging so that I can have complete control.
Yeah, he's kind of let everyone go against him. He's still dealing with the guilt of wanting to go after a teen, so he tries to be unobtrusive, which only comes back later to bite him in the butt. I think. Bah, I can't explain it. You probably could explain it better than I could. I always find it interesting when others can describe my characters better than me, and they live in MY head! :)
Dang! Don't hold back and tell me how you really feel. :P Drake is an ass. He's so perfectly an ass. Every story needs an ass, right?
Really?! I've often joked I write sim soaps. Think about it: they're structured in similar ways, even the p.o.v. and how the scenes can intertwine.
I'm actually sitting and biding my time, waiting to yet again play an extra in a sitcom (which is why this reply is so rambling). Don't know how comedic it is. It's more of a show that makes a statement about society. Can't say which, of course. Maybe all this movie stuff is influencing me. :)
