Uncomplicated 1.8

As stated previously, prom is coming up. (wow, my graphics suck)
This is Meghann Black, someone SP brought in with her family and I immediately upon seeing her made over. I'm hoping to have Levi take her to prom since they became friends while at school.

It's Monika's age-to-adult party. The guy on the right, Rodrigo, is the same one she flirted with during Tim and Mia's wedding. The guy on the left (never wrote down his name) gets the instant-attraction thing with her upon coming in to crash the party.
I imagine in my head a 'friendly' discussion where guy on the right tells guy on the left that Monika is about to be too old for him.

More than a few party crashers. I got irritated at how everyone got stuck at the front door (picture everyone trying to come in at the same time lol) and moved them all in with a quick jaunt into moveobjects on.
At first, I got mad that her dad didn't show up to her party.

I mean, geez, even her half-brother (whom she's never met!), Daryl, shows up... with his girlfriend.

Oh, no, wait. There he is. In the back. He was just late.

He pushes his way to the front as Monika ages up.
There are so many sims on this lot at this time that I worry that my puter is going to melt. I'm glad I didn't try to up the graphics settings from where the game had them set.

Oh yeah... makeover time, definitely... and ya gotta love the smoke detector photo-bombing this pic.

Out of curiosity and hoping these two can hook up, I have her start chatting/flirting a bit with Rodrigo. Whoa! I did the attraction thingy, and it said 1 out of 10. Never had that happen that low. I guess they can really only be just friends. Darn.

Anyway, Monika got the good sense of humor trait.

Wha? Why is Roger having that thought bubble?
*sneak peeks at him with MC*
Fern cheated on him and they got divorced! I almost feel sorry for him.

Knowing that I'm not going to meddle with Monika's love life like I'd intended, I decide to move her out as soon as the party ends.

Levi takes her old room until he too ages up and moves out. I'm going to keep Nick in the bedroom he's in, making it the future master bedroom because it makes more sense to have the master separated from the other two like that.

I finally just up and BUY the tattoo machine thingy and questioningly have Mia give Tim his next tattoo instead of doing the 'go into CAS and put it in then subtract the $ out of the family funds' like I'd done when I just had base game.
I had to give Tim two tats because I forgot for a week.
 I should've expected this.

Good thing is is that he still loves her. I have her go in and 'fix' everything.

Levi does the laundry and 'finds' a laundry gnome. How is this a laundry gnome. Oh well.
hehehehehehehehe
*rubs hands together*
Don't let the cuteness fool you! This is more of the gnome's quest for world domination!

Levi discovers the radical reparum potion. What does it do?

There's so much of this game I've never actually DONE. Like this one, for example ^^ and the potions thing.
Ain't that just the cutest thing tho?!

K, so, I get a notification that SP is doing its thang with Monika's love life... with an elder. The head dude in the politics stuff.
I clicked his pic in the notification, and it took me to find him standing on his front porch. Morgan Inkbeard
Really, SP?

Tim gets promoted to Neurosurgeon! (wow, spelled that right the first try!)
$255/hour 9-5 MTRF

Monika and Morgan start going steady. Really? The guy has kids that are older than her and has 4 grandkids to boot.

Tim finally gets some time at the potion station and discovers bladder flow as his first potion. Another great one. :)

Roger ages to elder.
Monika asks Morgan to marry her, and he says yes. smh

Monika and Morgan break up. O.O

Levi calls that Meghann girl a lot, and they talk about her most of the time.
Levi is in the newspaper club, and Mia goes to the award ceremony after getting a promotion to spa package seller, topping out at the part time spa job.
Levi calls Meghann again and asks her over. After several tries, she finally comes over...... only for me to find out she aged to adult. /sigh
So, I check his friends list and see someone else to try.
 Sunshine Caliente, Dina's daughter. She has a boyfriend and doesn't take well to Levi flirting with her...

... at first. I work on their friendship a bit and he asks her to break up with her boyfriend who's name I didn't write down. He asks her to prom, and she says yes!

Tim achieves his lifetime want and gets promoted to a World Renown Surgeon! I thought I'd end this update by showing off his new threads.

Uncomplicated 1.7: Well that stinks

Yeah, this is pretty much all I've been doing sims-wise over Christmas break is play this legacy. I have some shots for the next Skye part of the Rose legacy, but they're on my downstairs computer, and it's cold down there with the concrete floor.
I AM planning on releasing a SWNT chapter soon, then I'll do the CLJS one. I'm going to need to create very specific poses for the CLJS one.
I'm procrastinating.

-----------------------------------

Mia is getting big, and I got some new hairs to use.

I get a notification that the carpool is going to pick her up in an hour just as she goes into labor. (The carpool never comes, btw, and I'm glad for that. It happens every day of her maternity leave, but the car never shows up to annoy me.)

I had a few things lined up for her to do (like buy shares in some of the businesses), but she obviously goes into labor.

Being the senseless sim that she is, she drives herself to the hospital after waiting ages for Tim to run downtown to the car from their house.

*Do not ever drive yourself to the hospital if you think you are in labor!*

Dr. Tim the Enchanter was right! It's a boy!
The day these shots were played was Christmas, and I'd done everything I needed to do (not much, my hubs is the one that cooks) to get ready to go to my family's for the big dinner stuff, so I had some time on my hands ... = play sims.
Hubs walked into the room as I sat and thought aloud, "Hm. I need a boy's name."
He said, "Why not name him Nick since it's Christmas?"
"You're brilliant!"
"I know."
:D

Baby Nick is going to be the only child that's biologically Tim's, so that immediately makes him the heir.
I got to pick his traits: friendly and loner. I have my reasons for making them a wee bit oxymoronic.

Nick makes his presence known, and Tim is happy. Then, in the last pic, I show an example of a common thought of his.

And now: random things I wrote down in my notes:
Moe has a son named Shan, but I didn't write down who the mama was.
Mia gets to level 10 in handiness. That's the first time that's happened to me, and I think it's neat that there's a discount in build mode.
Tim got a raise of $28/hour.
I save the game.

Cute, pointless pics of Nick.

Tim gets a promotion to lvl 8, Infectious Disease Researcher. $240/hour 9-2 MTRF. He's really happy.

What can I say? I just love pics like this.

Then...
Dun dun dun dun!

-Error Code 12-

Noooooo!!!!!!!
I hate it when this happens. I did a lot of deleting of .bad files, but I still kept getting it. I was all prepared to make some big dramatic thing happen and save the pertinent families from the 'hood and make it so like there was this tragic accident that caused the surviving families to leave town and start up somewhere new, but the "save as"'s started working again. phew. Still, that would've been a cool thing to do.

Mia's midlife crisis is over.

Remember that cute little girl a few chapters back that Levi read to? Maryann Barbarossa. I was planning on having him and her hook up once she aged up, but SP worked too fast for me, and she starts dating Daryl Rao, Levi's half-brother. grrrr.
Prom is coming up.
This is interesting, SP makes up that someone named Lillian Darwin is having to move in Josephine Coastal's house because her Guardian, Preethi Darwin, is soon to die of illness. (I guess just soon to die)

Ultimate teenage chemist's dream come true: Levi discovers the stink juice potion.

Nick ages up. Oh, where has the time gone?
He looks more like his mom imho.

Tim starts teaching him to talk. As always, I'm curious what will be the kid's first word. Newspaper or something along those lines. Interesting.
(and I wanted to show Tim's back tattoo)

That's all for now!

Uncomplicated 1.6: Go boink in the night

Stuff I forgot to put at the end of the last one:
Tim promotion to lvl 7, gene therapist. $194/hour and MTRF (R=Thursday) 9-2. Much better. :)
Roger and Fern have another baby, a girl named Shayna
Levi got the natural cook trait.
Mia got promoted pretty quickly to fitting room guard.
The cute little girl in the last pic (as well as some earlier) is named Maryann Barbarossa.
~~~~~~~~~~
Earlier, I'd been using my husband's laptop, but now I have my own. So, I copied the save file and put it into mine so that I could continue with Tim.
I got all the crap I thought I needed, but I didn't go on a CC quest other than some of the store stuff I wanted to include...
I need those hairs. I must find them again. Later. I want to play, dangit!
Meanwhile, Tim gets the 'bodacious bangs' hairdo. Not bad, actually.
I really want those CC hairs back. Monika's isn't bad, but Mia... ugh.
Moe (Tim's bff) and Patty breakup. I don't think they were married.
It's baby making time...
Tim and Mia go at it like rabbits, and for a little bit, Tim thinks about stuff other than work.
 Even with level 3 logic skill, Levi still successfully blows himself up. This is about the 6th time.
Level 4... ah! Yay! Finally, he makes a mood enhancer potion as his first one.
Random note I made to myself: Why did I plant another apple tree? Why? They're swimming in apples. /sigh
Doing it risky woohoo style, Tim and Mia continue to go boink in the night. and day.
Looks like it's working!
Yeah, we'll forget you beat him up on day 1, Nina. Sure...
Anyway, Tim has another work do-hicky-ma-jig he has to go do. This time, he's diagnosing. It's cute to watch. Kinda creepy to be doing it at the cemetery though. Hm.
Mia is about to (any day now) spin into maternity wear. Looks like our Tim has refocused his attention back on his career.
 Cute maternity wear for once.
You can see Tim through the window leaving to go back to work (on call). Doesn't look like Mia minds much. She's happy she gets 4 paid days of maternity leave.
With this pic, I'm imagining these two having kids. Scary. (Grant Coastal)
Tim's turn to age to mature adult.
One really cool thing about being preggers and having a doc hubby high enough up is asking your doc hubby the sex of the baby. He says it's a boy. We'll see how good a doc Tim is, I guess.
I hear a conversation going on in the background...
Levi: The baby is sleeping in your room.
Monika: No, he's going to be a boy. He's sleeping in your room. Besides, the crib is already in there.
Levi: It can fit in your room just as well.
Monika: No, it works better in yours.
Levi: We could trade rooms.
I wanted to catch Tim with the 'boy' thought bubble above his head, but he was only thinking about how tired he was. So, I'm keeping the close up shot of him. Still cute, just more... mature looking. Maybe it's time to get a more mature looking hairstyle. hm.
Monika: It's your turn to have a baby in your room. You ruined my night's sleep when you were a baby. I've already done my time.
Levi turns and glares at Monika: He should sleep in your room. Maybe you could convince Mom and Dad to get you a new bed. Besides, taking care of babies is women's work.
Monika: Oh you did not just say that. You make me want to hit you in the head with a frying pan.
Levi laughs: I'd like to see you try!
Tim dreaming about how great Tim is. He's not having a midlife crisis. He's very happy with how his life is turning out. Level 7 of his doctor career path, married into a ready-made family, a baby of his own on the way... life is good!
I think Levi lost that argument. His consolation is that at least he's not getting another sister.
----------------------
Moe and Patty Abe (got her preggers before they broke up) had a boy named Edgardo. For once, I like the automatic naming going on in the 'hood. I'll let SP keep naming the kids.
