Rose 2.77: Perspective

A/N: I couldn't decide.

So, I went to random.org and rolled two dice.

1-6 = Camilla is heir

7-12 = Arlen is heir

I rolled... 8! Arlen is heir!
It really makes more sense for him to be heir anyway, given the profession that was rolled.

Now... who is the "help"?
Camilla is beautiful, but Stefan is a ROBLES! Trust me.

Sadly... I will have to let Camilla go. I'll be sure to save her .sim file and put it up for download.

Generation Three Heir
Arlen Robles
Brave, Workaholic, Inappropriate, Evil
Fairy

The "Help"
Stefan Robles
Genius, virtuoso (plan on choosing 'good' if I get the chance)
Human
(I'd like to put an adult or even teen pic here, but I don't want to ruin too much of the surprise.)

As I've mentioned, with my redhead rule, the heir has to be a redhead. I don't know what I'll do if these guys don't produce a redhead for gen 4. The number of kids I rolled is one of the higher ones, though, and I don't think there is any rule saying I can't have more than the number of rolled children. So, their ladies might keep popping out babies until I get one LOL!

One thing, though: The heir doesn't have to come from Arlen! IF he produces a redhead BEFORE the rolled number of children reached, then I could move the story so that Stefan can have kids too, and IF one of Stefan's children is a redhead, that child could be heir.

It's actually kind of exciting to see what happens!

Now, on with the story....

--------------------------------------------------------

Arlen Robles

My family is so pathetic. Nonna sleeps all the time. Mama can't stop cleaning. My sister Camilla is an airhead. Stefan is a weak baby. Lorenzo left us. And Papa... Papa is a walking disaster.
Do you like how I'm totally breaking the fourth wall here? Cool, huh? I'm not stupid. I know exist in a story. But you know what? It's going to be MY story. I'm not going to pretend I don't really know what's going on.
Back to my Papa: Oh, I've heard all about his 'escapades' a few years back. In fact, that's how come all four of us have different mothers. I know what I am: I'm a product of a one-night stand.

Wait... when you think about it... Papa being a disaster is actually okay! I mean, he 'made it' with four women! Two witches, a fairy, and a human! He makes being a walking disaster look good. Maybe he's the least pathetic of all of them, but as he was hugging on Lorenzo before he left us, he looked like a wuss.
This shouldn't be a still photograph. It really should be a movie so everyone can see my sweet dance moves. You're missing out, trust me. Your loss.

It's the full moon tonight. I like the moon, and...
     Holy plumbob! That's a ghost!
"You must be my son's new wife," it says.
THAT'S Nonna's dead husband? That makes him my Nonno.
He's standing there talking to Mama. Why isn't he talking to me?! I'm his grandson! I'm important!
Nonna comes dashing out of her room, throws her arms around the ghost, kisses him, apologizes to Mama, and does her best to 'pull' the ghost into her room. Mama giggles.
She turns to me. "That was your grandfather."
I give her a look. "Duh."
She just smiles and walks up the stairs to check on my baby brother.

I know she's not my REAL mama. I mean... look at me. I'm a plumbing fairy for plum's sake. I was actually bummed when it finally hit me that she couldn't be my real mama. But... Mama has been here for as long as I can remember.
"It's your night to do the dishes," she tells me.
"I don't want to." She likes to do household stuff. Why doesn't she just do them and quit pestering me?
"I didn't ask you if you wanted to do them."
"What is this? You're sounding like the wicked step-mother from Cinderella. Why do I have to do the dishes?!" I am going to do whatever it takes to keep from doing the dishes. It shouldn't be my job to do them!
     "Arlen..."
I fold my arms. "You can't tell me what to do. And unlike Cinderella, I don't have to wait for my own fairy godmother!"

Being a fairy has gotten way cool since becoming a teenager. I can do some neat tricks. I throw one on her now.
"Arlen!" she gasps and starts shivering.
I laugh. That was fun! "You're not even my real mom. You can't tell me what to do." That ought to put her in her place.

"Arlen! You don't do that to people, do you understand me?!"
"Whoa! Chill, okay?" She is taking this WAY too harshly.
"And what do you mean I'm not 'really' your mother?" She sounds hurt. "Just because I didn't give birth to you doesn't mean that..."

She can't finish it, and a strange feeling starts inside me. I don't like it.
Papa speaks. "She is your mother more than any other woman in the world, even more than your Nonna. She has loved you and cared for you, and you shouldn't speak to her in this way." He puts down his paints and stares at me through his sunglasses.
Mama looks at me, waiting for me to say something. I won't apologize. She can't tell me what to do. I am a teen now. It isn't like she can put me into a time out. I give her a hard look. Her own resolve cracks, and she brushes past me into the greenhouse.

     I won! My spirit lifts.
Mama makes a quiet sob sound, and I hear her feet start running for the other door. She's going to go cry in the little house because she lost and I won.

Uh oh. Papa looks like he'd like to pound me into the floor. His jaw is clenched, and his movements are stiff as he walks toward me. If I have to, I can turn into a little speck, making him unable to get me.

I ready myself to turn into a speck the second he moves to strike.
     "Shauna is your mother."
"Oh, please! Anybody could tell she's not. I mean just look at us!" I won't surrender.
"She is the only mother you have ever known."
"Where's my real mom? You know. The one who gave birth to me. Where is she?" I have a right to ask that question, don't I?
"The fairy woman who gave birth to you said she didn't have time for a child in her life. She didn't want you. Shauna did. She loves you as if you were hers by blood, and the way you treated her just now was terrible."
I get angry. My mother didn't want me? I'd always sorta pictured that Papa and the other woman fought over me with Papa winning. I'd always thought that she was out there somewhere, wishing she could know me, perhaps waiting until I grew up enough and then coming to find me. Now, I find out she merely just dumped me on Papa.
"Arlen..." Papa tries to intrude upon my thoughts. "I never wanted to tell you this, but you need some perspective."

"Perspective?" I choke out. "You're saying I should be grateful that you and 'Mama' are so kind to take in the stray?" I don't like this pain in my chest area. "Why not just drop me off at the nearest orphanage?"
"Because you are my son, Arlen. I could never do that. How could you think I could do that? I was furious with Abbie when she-"
"Her name is Abbie?" I quickly interrupt, and Papa bites his lip.
He regains himself, knowing he made a mistake but pushing ahead anyway. "The name of the mother that matters is Shauna. She loves you. You have hurt her down to her heart. She asked you to do a simple chore, and you speak to her like she's dirt under your feet. Now, you will do two things. One: You will apologize to her and mean it. Two: You will do the dishes as she asked."
"Fine," I say in an ordinary way. It no longer matters to me that Mama asked me to do the dishes. My mind is actively thinking about something else now.

I apologize to Mama and let her hug me while she cries. I even hug her back some. After all, what Papa said is true: Mama has always been here for me. It's this Abbie person...

I will find this Abbie person, and I will make her pay.
It's not that I wish she'd never given me up. Mama is probably ten times the mother this Abbie person could've ever been, but it's the principle of the thing.
No one will tell me anything other than she was in Monte Vista for a short time and only came back long enough to give me to Papa before disappearing again. I can't even find out her last name. Papa wanted to hide it from the press.
I am more patient than the press. After all, I will have a very long life. Our paths will cross again, and I'll be ready when they do.

Chain Reaction 2.25: Peace Offering

Emily

I find Dad sitting at the table, and I have a seat in front of him.
"I didn't like yelling at you the other day, Dad." I hope that with my almost-apology, this conversation can go in the direction I want. Drake is attending his grandfather's funeral, and I miss his snarky, funny, sarcastic, sympathetic self. He hopes we can go on an actual date next weekend, but that all depends on how this conversation goes.
He sighs. 'May as well do this now' is written all over his face. "I don't know what to do, Emily. I want to respect your wishes, but I have a bad feeling about this in my gut. And I've learned to trust my gut."
"What bad feeling? Maybe if you told me, I could allay your fears." TALK to me! We used to talk about everything!

"I'm too afraid to tell you," he admits, finally opening up. I sit and patiently wait for him to continue. "It has to do with your mother and me and how we met and some things that happened, some of which I'm not proud of. And now I'm terrified that Karma will pay me back. I can't help but see the sick irony of finding myself on the other side of this."
"What did you do to anger Karma, Daddy?"

"Please don't ask that. I know it's not fair to ask you to trust me on blind faith, but it's not completely my story to tell. In the grand scheme of things, it's not horrible, but the second I saw you after you'd aged up, I worried."
I try to soak in all he said and attempt to make sense of it. After I aged up? That's when everyone said I really look like Mom.

"If you're that broken up about it, I won't ask." Did he do something to Uncle Alex and now thinks he's gonna get payback? "But you have to understand that I've decided to give dating Drake a try. And he doesn't want you to hate him for it."
"It's just that he looks so much like his father, even more than you look like your mother." He looks me in the eyes, leaning forward a bit and resting his hands on the seat of the chair. "And there was a time I worried I'd lose her to him. For a year and a half, she lived with the Goths. They never outright adopted her, and it didn't take me long to figure out why."
"Well, were you two dating? Didn't you trust her?"
"I wasn't allowed to see her. Mortimer forbade it." Who? Oh yeah. Drake's grandfather, Uncle Alex's dad. He wouldn't allow Dad to see Mom?
"Did you two go to the same school?" I ask, thinking that could be a way they could still see each other.

"Emily, I am twelve years older than your mother."
I let out a staggered breath. I'd never pondered their age difference. It was never a thing, never discussed. Wait. If Mom was a teen, then...
"Oh. So that's why, um, Mr. Goth wouldn't let you see her?"
"Alex's parents had hopes that he and Brielle would marry. They're the same age, and they'd been friends since childhood."
"So... Is that what you see?" Suddenly, a possible explanation makes sense in a sad way. "Drake and I have been friends since childhood. We're the same age. I look like Mom and he looks like Alex." I refrained from calling him 'Uncle' Alex for Dad's sake.
"You must think I'm crazy. Maybe I am, but yes, I see what might've happened. I know you're two different people, but after carrying this around for so long, I can't help but see red."
"And why am I to stay away from Alex?" Dad's in a talking mood. I need to ask everything I can.

"That's where Karma comes in. Your grandfather, your mother's dad, called me a sick bastard. But..." He pauses, looking like he's debating what he should say next. Finally, he lets out a snort. "Brielle says she won't speak to me unless I talk to you about this, and I can't think of any way to leave things out."
"You hate yourself for falling in love with a teenager," I realize.
"Putting it succinctly, yes." He leans forward in a jerk. "But I didn't know! Your mother had run away, and the night I met her, she lied about her age."
"Mom ran away from home?" I'm shocked.
"It doesn't make it right, but she had good reasons. Your grandfather would beat her. ... Please don't mention this to her. Don't bring up the ghosts of her past. It was devastate her if she knew you knew."
"But what does this have to do with Alex?"
His next words, judging from his facial expression, carry much weight: "I fear that I'll be paid back for what I did and that Alex will be the tool Karma uses."
"Oh, Dad," I breathe, and I take my turn covering my face. So in that instance, I would be the teen and Alex would be the adult. Ugh! Dad! When will you realize he loves his wife?
"This is the part where you tell me I'm crazy." He sounds resigned.
"Yeah," I agree simply. Then, I realize the difficulty in what he just did. "But thank you, Dad, for telling me all this. At least now I understand."
He stands up. "Come with me. I have a present for you, a kind of peace offering if you will."
     "Okay." I smile.

"Wow, Dad," I say because my mouth won't form any further words. My jaw won't work for going slack at the sight of the expensive machine in the study.
"It's the same model they use at Everton," he explains. Then, he takes a deep breath. "I won't try to ruin your relationship with Drake, even if it amounts to nothing but friendship in the end. I won't force you to stay away from his family. They love you like you're their own daughter."
Tears prick my eyes. It's too good to be true.

     "Do you really mean that?"
He nods, looking like he's about to cry. "Just don't forget who loved you first."

     I have my Daddy back.

To readers that still remember everything from Gen 1:

Sorry for the rehashing longways instead of summarizing. I wanted to show exactly what Emily now knows.

Now for fun stuff:

Graham had a rough day at work.

Uh...
Aren't you already married to Brielle?

So crazy when this stuff happens.

How appropriate!
This is her first ever snow globe.

Chain Reaction 2.24: The Kids' Table

Alex

I'm back in Willow Creek, and the sight of my mother shocks me. She looks so... old! Of course, I don't dare tell her this. That would send her running back to her plastic surgeon.
I proudly introduce her to my wife. It's strange that Laura and Mom are meeting for the first time, but The Maker really didn't intend, at first, to bring anyone from her old saves back into the story. Then, I introduce my son. She looks more happy to meet Drake than she does Laura, and I think Laura notices. The entire flight here, my wife was a jittery, nervous mess. It was all I could do to keep her from downing every mojito in sight. The only thing that really stopped her was she didn't want to be sloshed when we landed.

I hear someone coming down the stairs. Mom speaks. "Drake, this is your cousin Aaron. He's only a year younger than you."
     "Cassandra's here?" I ask hopefully.
"Yes. She's upstairs. She'll be down in a minute."
It's so weird being a guest in the house where I grew up. Normally, I would've just dashed upstairs to find my sister. Now, I have to politely wait for her to come down.

Mom turns to my wife. "So, Laura, Alexander tells me you two met when you were his assistant before the company went under."
"Yes," she answers swiftly. Mom intimidates her! I've never seen Laura so nervous.
"Indeed," I add. "And she stayed with me when my company was just a dream in my head."
"That's very... sweet of you," Mom says cryptically.
Oh no, Mom. Don't start. She's patronizing her. The blonde hair has thrown her off, and she's putting Laura into a stereotype.
"Well, I wouldn't have gotten it off the ground if it weren't for her. She's brilliant." I reach out and squeeze her hand.
Drake and Aaron start horsing around. From the looks of things, Drake is getting irritated while Aaron looks like he's having fun teasing his newfound cousin.
Laura clears her throat. "I'm sorry for your loss, um, Mrs. Goth."
Mom keeps being overly-formal. "Thank you, but in a way, I lost him long ago, thanks to that monster." Uh, maybe not so formal.
I really don't want to talk about Graham. That would lead to talk about Brielle, and that could cause World War III. Laura is terrified that all anyone is going to do is compare her to Brielle, and with everything that's happened recently, she's extra sensitive about that. The last thing I want is to have another fight with my wife.
     Aaron distracts everyone.

"Hey, so Drake, after this, we should really hit the clubs. I could introduce you to a few chicks if you want."
I'm thinking that in Aaron's mind, that probably sounds polite. Just a guess.
"I have a girlfriend," Drake snaps in reply.
"All right, bro. Chill. Just trying to be friendly. Thought you might want to sample some of the local fare."
Someone tugs on my sleeve. "Are you my Uncle Alex?"

I turn and don't see anyone. Then, I look down and see a near-clone of my sister. "Hi. Yes I am. You must be Jacquline."
"You pronounce the 'J' like the French one," she says in a matter-of-fact way. She reminds me of how Emily was as a child.
"Then, you have my apologies, Jacquline." I say her name correctly this time. She stares at me like she's sizing me up intellectually. Right now, I'm too worried about my wife going into a fully-fledged panic, so I probably look like a simpleton.
Mom and Laura have been speaking while I met my niece, but I missed what they were saying. Are they talking business? Then, I get distracted again when Cassandra comes down the stairs.
     "Alexander!"

She spins me around and squeezes me hard. "Oh! My baby brother! My baby brother!"
     Jacquline laughs quietly.
I hate that the reason I finally came home was because Dad died. I shouldn't have stayed away so long. I left Cassie with all the burden of dealing with our mother after Dad's arrest. Dad told me to stay away, but I didn't have to listen. He was worried I'd get linked to the scandal and be arrested as well.
"I see you've met my children already." She doesn't let go of me.

"Yes, I was just speaking with Jacquline."
She laughs. "Sorry if she's a little intense. She reminds me of you."
     "Mom!" my niece whines.
     I laugh.

"She actually reminds me of Drake's girlfriend when she was a child."
     Cassie smiles. "Oh? Who's that?"
"Her name is Emily. She's..." Plum! "...Brielle's... daughter."
Of all the things for my mother to hear, she picks up on this. Turning to Drake, she asks, "Your girlfriend is Brielle's daughter?"
Laura slouches; Drake defends his choice; and I worry how I can keep this from going in a worse direction. "Hey, Mom. Did you ever replace that old dinosaur of a refrigerator?" She doesn't answer me. "Who's hungry?" I ask the group. "Mom, you don't mind if Laura and I fix something to eat, do you?" Anything to separate my wife from my mother and sister at this moment. Me and my big mouth. I think Drake can hold his own, but Laura looks stressed.
"Sure, if you insist, Alexander," she says, waving her hand dismissively. She then launches into an interrogation to get information about Emily, asking Drake some very irritating questions that I'd actually rather he answer than the two of us.
"Great!" I say with false enthusiasm. Then, I grab Laura's arm and drag her away from the scene. As I walk with her, I mumble into her ear, "I'm sorry."
"It was bound to happen sooner or later," she breathes, looking more relaxed the farther we get from Mom.

I calm Laura down, but we don't have much time alone before Mom decides she wants some coffee. At least I don't have to worry about Drake continuing to be interrogated.
"So, Brielle has had a son and a daughter," Mom says.
I guess I spoke too soon.
But apparently, the little moment we shared before Mom came into the kitchen strengthened Laura. She replies to Mom's statement. "Yes. She has a son named Ethan, and you've heard about Emily. Emily is a delightful girl."
     Mom snorts. "So was Brielle."
     "Mom..."
"Don't 'Mom' me. You left for Eden to get Brielle back-"
"And to start a business," I interrupt. I dare her to scold me for it. Glancing, I see all she does is shoot me a reproachful look for interrupting her.
"And you didn't come home when that didn't work."
"Because I met Laura and started my security business. Need I remind you?" I'm not taking it. I'm not going to listen to how I 'failed' to 'win' Brielle.
Mom turns around and finally sees my wife standing there awkwardly. "I'm sorry, sweetie. I'm not really myself lately. Ever since Mortimer was arrested, I've been off-balance. Now, he's truly gone." She stares at Laura like she's not really looking at her, like she's just staring off into space in Laura's direction.
Laura takes a breath. "It's nothing."
"No, it isn't. Let's go have a seat." Mom implies the two of them can go and talk.
I've finished preparing the meal at record sim speed, and everyone goes to get a plate.

Cassandra and I sit at "the kids' table" for old times' sake. She tells me all about how she met her husband, Jude. He was one of the lawyers working for Dad. With Mom going out of her mind and Dad ordering me to stay away, Cassandra was the one to handle the legal issues. She'd spent a lot of time in the firm's office, and she and Jude grew close.

While Cassie and I eat, Jude comes in and sits down next to Drake. I'll meet him later.

'Later' arrives. This is the best pic the Maker took of me meeting my brother-in-law. It sucks terribly.
We have the same taste in hairstyles.

Eventually, things get okay with my wife. She relaxes, and I'm glad.

*******

Drake Goth

I finally escape that idiot cousin of mine when they all leave to go to their house. Tonight, I'm sleeping in Dad's old room.
I knew Dad came from a powerful family, but I'd never really thought about it before. The Goth family is the oldest-surviving family in Willow Creek. Even though my grandfather went to prison, they didn't lose the family home. If they had, that would've been a shame. It's not like the place is a mansion, far from it. It's the history of the place. I like it, and I have a strange sense of power knowing that I'm the one to carry on the Goth name.

Tonight, I learned from my grandmother that Emily's father is somehow responsible for my grandfather's arrest. I'd thought Graham was an accountant! Apparently not. What a plumbing liar! I'm tempted to text Emily and find out if she knows what her father really does for a living. After all, he's been lying to her all her life, but something makes me pause.
It would be more to my benefit to keep this information as something to hold over Graham's head--just in case I should need it. I'm sure he wouldn't want his precious daughter to think less of him.

------------------------------

Jude is a sim I made years ago. AFTER I started shooting and was already halfway through the scene did I notice how similar he looks to Alex. Oh well. irl, people have the same hair styles.

I TRIED to make Bella an elder, but every time I'd load the lot, she'd die. Grrrrr.

Rose 2.76: This is it

Mama laments over not having the last ingredient for a potion she wants to make. When we ask her what she needs, she tells us it's a simple toad. Shauna pulls one out of her inventory, and Mama, now overjoyed, eagerly goes to work at the potions station.
"I don't know what she's up to," I tell my wife to her quizzical look.

"Camilla, I have a gift for you," she happily tells my little flower.
"For me? It's not my birthday... or snowflake day."
"This is something that should have been yours from birth, in my opinion. You don't have to use it. Well... open it." She hands her the package.
Camilla opens it to discover a vial. "What is it?"
"Bottled witch's brew. If you throw it at your feet, you will change from human to witch."
Her eyes widen. "You mean... be a witch? Just like you?"
      "Yes." Mama smiles.

Camilla doesn't think twice and immediately throws the potion at her feet. Her jaw drops when a poisoned apple appears in her hand by...magic.
"You'll have to study your art from the beginning just like any witch, but you are at the age when we begin anyway, so you're not too far behind your peers."
My little flower just stares at the glowing apple.
"One more thing," Mama says, "We've never told you much, if anything, about your birth mother. I'm sure you must've wondered."
Camilla looks up at her curiously. "Yes, sometimes. Like, why did she leave?"
Mama sighs. "After everything that's happened, it's best she did anyway. She was a very manipulative witch. I worry I won't be here should she come back and none of you will have the right protection from her."
     "What do you mean?"
Mama explains to Camilla about Willow's ability to affect the moods of the people around her, often using it to her own benefit. My little flower listens intently as Mama tells her the best way to fight that.

"How will I know it's her?" Camilla asks.
"You'll know. If you ever see her, you'll know." Mama doesn't explain it any more than that. I'm sure Camilla has figured it out. After all, all she has of me are her hair color and eye color. Her entire bone structure matches Willow's.
"Will I get any extra talents?"
Mama looks at her. "I don't honestly know. I don't have any, or any of which I was aware. Time will tell."
Camilla smiles, probably putting some concerns off to ponder later. "How did you know I wanted this?"
Mama kisses her forehead. "Maybe that's my extra talent." She brushes my daughter's hair out of her face. "And this evens the playing field."
"Thank you, Nonna." She hugs her grandmother. Then, Mama goes to take a nap, acting exhausted.

Camilla smiles, laughs, and dances around the house the rest of the day.
What has my mother done? I'm not worried about Camilla becoming a witch. Though, I wish she hadn't have told her those things about Willow, but perhaps it is best that she knows.
My little flower doesn't act any different than she used to be, and I start to relax. It was my fear that the potion would alter my daughter too much.
'Even the playing field'? The time to pick an heir is fast approaching, and The Maker might be swayed by Arlen's supernatural state. As far as that playing field goes, this does put Camilla in a better position.

This proves it once and for all. I'd always wondered because of how he played as a toddler and his laugh. Arlen is an evil child.
When I come upstairs, I find Stefan screaming on the floor and my older son grinning victoriously as he licks the candy he pulled out of thin air. I ground him for a week. He shrugs and says he never goes anywhere anyway. Then, when he finds out he's grounded from the computer, I get a death glare.

This is happening a lot lately: Time won't slow down! It is time for Stefan to age to toddler.
"What are you laughing at, Arlen?" Shauna asks my fairy son.

"You all look so incredibly stupid! Every time we do this, you all stand around and cheer like it's the best thing in the world. It's just a birthday." He laughs again.
     "Birthdays are special," Shauna snaps.

We all ignore Arlen laughing at us, and Shauna blows out the candles for our precious baby. Then, she places him on the floor as is custom.

This is it. This is THE moment. My roll was for four children. This is my fourth child. The heir has to be a redhead. So far, two out of four children are. Will Stefan make the third? It's entirely possible he could be blond.
No matter what, the heir is soon to be chosen...

We have a darling little brown-haired, blue-eyed boy. He has his mother's eyes, just like I thought he would. Or... are they more like his grandmother's?
I've never really thought about it... I've always said my weakness is blue eyes. My mother has blue eyes. Am I really that typical that I took that as looking for a woman like my mother?
I laugh and quickly lift my youngest son in the air, swinging him around and making my wife very nervous. Stefan loves it, giggling like mad.

But... Who will be heir? How should the Maker choose?

--------------------------------------------------

Camilla: Shy, Artistic, Hates the Outdoors, Easily Impressed (witch) red hair/grey eyes
Arlen: Brave, Workaholic, Inappropriate, Evil (fairy) red hair/light brown eyes

The career paths for the roll point to one of them, but I like the other one so much that it's making it difficult to choose!

This is not an easy choice. Also, it's just the heir that has to be a redhead. There is no rule (my rule anyway, at that) saying the help has to be a redhead. But this would mean I can't keep both of them. Grrrr!

Obviously, I have made a decision. I'm curious what you all think, though!

(Oh, and Stefan grows up to be a total babe. I'll post a link to the forum posting where I'll hide a pic of him in a spoiler aged to YA.)
