Don't Ask 1.12: It's 2. It's 2 Again. 2.

Okay, so... since I last updated (5 hundred million years ago), stuff has happened. You're shocked, I know, right?
I'm going to document the important bits.

Catlynne to teen.

Freena

Again. Identical.

Okay, so it's time to pick an heir. I can't decide, so I go to random.org and roll a number between 1 and 4. (1 being Catlynne and so on) I got 2, meaning Freena.

Freena is the heir!

There is a +1 to the roll, so I need to pick the +1 helper for the heir. I roll 1 to 4. I kept it 1 to 4 because they still needed to abide by their birth number.

I got 2. Freena. Freena can't be her own helper.

I roll again. 2. again. 2. GRRRRR! I roll again. 4. Yay! a different number! 4 is Evelyn. Wait. Was Evelyn born last? I can't remember. It's too late anyway because I've played well into gen 2, and the spare is Evelyn.

Anyway, back to the age-ups: Catlynne got loves the outdoors and Freena got foodie. Because she's the heir. She needs to cook.

(At this point, I still had no idea what exactly was involved in running a restaurant. I thought my own sim could take one of the roles. That's how it worked in s2. I wanted her to be the chef.)

Kyle! Ack! Don't die!
(At this point I also was very unused to playing with elders.) I had him exercising because he was getting chubby again. Better chubby than dead, I guess.

Prank for the week? Check. Don again.
(And there's supposed to be a comma before "Kyle," Maxis. You put a comma in any time you address someone. Do you understand, EA? You got the "nauseated" instead of "nauseous" correct. Now, fix this.)

Can ya tell how I was feeling when it came time to name Kyle's new computer game?
Well, think about it: How often do you sit and hold it "just a little longer" while playing a game?

I laughed so hard at myself that I...
No, I didn't. But I did get up after this. This is the last pic I have for that day of playing. :)

Best buds.

I think the plate behind them really makes this pic.

I looked in the neighborhood bin and found Salim a wifey. He's getting old, and I want him to leave behind some progeny.

This is what happens when you have stuff like this in your accessories. The game creates random townies with them.

So, when I went back in and played, I wanted her pregnant. Now, looking at these pics, I see it already happened. And I used the mod. I guess I say cheating is allowed when it's not the legacy family.

Just making a visual note here in case I'll need it later. I made Leanne as a potential wife for Kyle. He never even met her. I think. Oh well.

What?! No! This can't be happening! Freena still has NINE DAYS until she ages to adult! (That's Evelyn in the pic... Is she psychic? Hm. Maybe she just somehow saw the update.)

Coming up next:
Will this whole legacy be a bust if Kyle dies too soon?

Chain Reaction 3.27: Unexpected

Jarvis

I'm on a date. This is fantastic! Finally, I try romantic things, the small stuff, and the recipient likes it.
We just finished eating at a restaurant that Isabella said she liked. It was nice, but I don't see myself going there often due to the exorbitant prices. I didn't think it was that good. But that's not the point, is it? No, the point is to impress the pants off Isabella. Well, if she were wearing pants, that is. She's not. She's in pink again. It's a nice color on her, but I wonder if she ever wears anything else. Even her lipstick is pink. Or... is it lipgloss? Is it flavored? Honestly, it doesn't matter to me. She doesn't need the makeup. If I taste a woman's lips, I want to taste her actual lips and not some glossy, artificial flavoring.
"...don't know what he was thinking. But she claims it's all okay."
     Oops.
Isabella watches me expectantly, waiting for a reply to whatever it was she was talking about.
"Uh, well, uh, if she says it's okay, then it must be okay."
"You would side with her on this. Honestly, if a guy-"
     I interrupt. "Isabella?"
     "Yeah?"
"I'm really happy to be out with you right now." Good. Change the subject to a better one.

"I'm boring you right now with my niece's problems, aren't I?" she asks, smiling.
"No, no. It's just you looked like you were getting upset, and I don't want you to be upset." My spirit rises when I see her smile grow. I am not a hopeless case!
"Jarvis, you are the sweetest guy I've ever met, and if being out with me today makes you happy, then that's all the better because you deserve it."

She's kissing me. I barely have time for the thought before she pulls away again. My first kiss.
And I want more. So I go for it.

Oh, I like this. I like how it feels. Her hair is really soft, like satin, and she tastes like the blueberry cobbler she had for dessert.
When am I supposed to stop? She pulled away immediately, but I don't want to. I'd rather stand here and kiss her all afternoon, so I keep going. Well, until she starts shaking. That makes me concerned.

She's panting and a little wobbly on her feet, so I don't let go of her.
"Wa-ow," she says in a dreamy way.
     I smile. "What is?"
"Where did you learn to kiss like that?" She can't keep her eyes open.
I'm a good kisser? Yes! "You liked that?" I really like Isabella. She pushes out a facade of a bubbly airhead, but she's not. I like her best when she's the real her.
"Yeah." Her barely-open eyes look at my lips like she wants more. I'm a good kisser. That's an unexpected surprise.

So, I give her what she wants, dipping her like I saw in a movie once.
      "Jarvis! Don't drop me!"
She's nuts if she thinks I would. "I'm not," I reply and go back to kissing her, but she won't relax.

I stand her back on her feet and kiss her like I did before. Only this time, when she starts shaking, I don't stop. I could definitely do this all afternoon. When she slips in my arms, I just hold her tighter. I hope the passers by don't mind. I'd take her back to my place, but it's not exactly a high-class dwelling. I'm hazarding a guess she comes from a wealthy family.
Family... Why does her last name have to be Taylor? I do everything I can to keep from thinking about Lottie, but Isabella having the same last name doesn't help.

Drake

My name has been cleared. Thanks to my surveillance equipment, my lawyers had an easy time convincing the judge that I killed Violet in self-defense. I was wanted for suspicion on the murder of Donovan Franco, but they can't link anything to me. And they never will.
So, I'm back at home. My time away was... educational. I'll leave it at that.
When I went to Mom's to reunite with my son, I found that he had no idea who I was. Mom had been teaching him who I was via photos and FaceTime, but seeing me in 3D was too much for the toddler.

For a while, Mom brought him by every day so that we could reconnect here at my house with her present. Then, she lived here for a time, and we let Valentino get used to his new room. Once he got settled in and used to me as 'Daddy,' she moved back to her house. He still cries for her, calling her 'Mama.'
Melody has disappeared. She's probably terrified of me. I hire temporary babysitters when needed, but I've started advertisements for a new au pair.

Word of my return must definitely be getting around because I get a call from Ethan Taylor. He needs assistance, and to my surprise, he contacted me to help him. I suppose he didn't ask my father because he knew Pops would try to keep him from doing something 'bad.'
Malcolm has escaped prison. They were transporting him to another facility, and the little shrimp plus two other guys overpowered the officers, stealing their weapons and killing them. There's been a public outcry against the incident, but everything on social media combined could not equal the rage and fury of the man I hope someday is my brother-in-law.
We hop into my Porsche and follow a few tips Ethan somehow received. You got me on how he attained them. That's another thing about me: he knew I wouldn't ask. We arrive on the scene of some cops arresting the other two cons. No Malcolm. Growling under his breath, he has me floor it to the land behind Malcolm's estate.
Has Ethan always been smart and was really good at hiding it? Not fifteen minutes go by, and we find Malcolm waltzing through the woods as if on a lovely spring day. How did he know he'd be here?

My jaw drops as I see him. Then, something strange happens to me. I can't let Ethan kill him. I don't know. It's just not right. I don't have time to figure out why I suddenly think like that.
Ethan calls out to him, and Malcolm stops, shocked. Then, he plants a fake smile on his face. He's terrified in actuality. I guess I can understand that. Ethan has always been the thorn in his side, always the one to catch him and that's usually after beating the crap out of him.

Ethan says something, but it doesn't register with me as I pull out my gun. "Freeze, Landgraab." I say. Ethan stops mid-sentence, probably staring at me in shock.

The man in the orange jumpsuit keeps the ridiculous smile on his face. "Bring your doberman with you today, Taylor?"
     "Nope," Ethan answers. "Just backup."

"No vacation for you to your little hidey-hole, Malcolm," I tell him. "They're heating up the electric chair for you as we speak. I wonder what fried Landgraab smells like."
"I'll bet better than fried Goth," he replies, finally glaring. "What the hell happened to your face?"
I see the scars on his, probably from a jail fight. "I could ask you the same question." Shut up about my face.
I watch him closely in the dim light. He surely isn't stupid enough to be unarmed. Ethan hasn't pulled his weapon, and I wonder why. Maybe he's afraid he'll actually kill him. But I'm not. He killed Claire, who had no reason to die. Sure, I killed my wife and her uncle, but they were going to kill me. At that point, it was survival of the fittest.
My thoughts get interrupted when a very unexpected voice comes crashing through the foliage, yelling at the top of his lungs.
     "You sonofab*tch!"

A/N: No idea what's happened with the font size in this post. It was longer in coming because I'm having to sift through all the stuff I've written and decide on the most-logical order to it all. Drake has thrown in his own monkey wrench when it comes to my chronological setup with Jarvis.

A Goth Aside, take one

Hi there! Instead of writing up the Gen 3 summary of chapters 1-26, I'm doing something else today. I decided to just play the Goths to have some stress-free fun.

And it starts out like this:
I'm... thinking I should've had her say yes. Silly me and the sanctity of marriage thing (at least as far as this family goes)(maybe). She said no, but I have to wonder what that would've done for the story...

Yeah. Haven't used it yet.

Like, really? -.-

Another thing I haven't tried yet. She doesn't have the right ingredients.

Ya know, for all this 'I'm playing them to play the game,' I have still plenty of things left undone.

Friends of Alaric's. I took these pics to help me remember. Names are subject to change, especially Daichi. My game overuses that one.

I swear I keep reading urologist.

I had no idea the impact this would have. You see, I want Emily to go to the alien world hidden lot.
The way you get there is with the spaceship, right?

Well, yeah. Um...

I consider this mission a fail since this stupid thing is all that came of it.

Another fail. I'd gotten this line of questioning before. I assumed this was the golden one since it's similar to how you get to other hidden lots. Fail.

Fail.

Then this happens. I decided to make a .gif to show the order of events.

Alexander is having better luck.

Completed this one immediately.

Haven't done this one yet either. She didn't have any mushrooms.

I'd guessed I should just go ahead and have Alex in the actual career path he has in the story. Then, his latest aspiration (renaissance sim) says he needs to be level 3 in at least 2 different career paths, I change his career. To writer. Whatever. It's believable.

So yeah. Emily. With all that rocketing, she came about this easily. (still haven't figured out how to get to Sixam yet)

This is great! I hovered over what the butler was reading.

What? Give Mommy a tainted serum? Brielle wasn't even on the lot, not that I would've fulfilled this work assignment for Em's.

Yay! I accomplished something! :D Surely this will get Em to the alien lot. XD

Now to just calibrate it...

Yay! Maybe now something will happen! (this was over several days, btw. I'd been wanting this to work, and I didn't want to look up how to do it.)

And THIS is the only thing that happens. I get an alien visitor. It's not even a full-blooded alien, either. This is Finn's youngest son. All he does is play around on Alex's computer.

So, aggravated, I go online and look it up.

OHHHHHH!!!! I had all the ingredients but didn't put them all together to make the recipe to get Em's to Sixam.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Finally. I go all collector crazy before sending Emily home exhausted. :D

That's enough for one installment. Next time (yeah, a next time) will talk about Alex's new career (game not story) and give insight on how I'm building up Alaric's character the real way. :)
