Summary of Generation Two Chapters 1-25

Howdy! Welcome to the first generation 2 summary! You're a summary type person, I'm guessing, so I shall endeavor to summarize the important bits of generation two for you.

<------ Important bit.

This is Ethan, the 2nd generation heir. He's the firstborn and only son of Brielle and Graham Taylor. He's of average intelligence, but it seems like he's of poor intelligence thanks to having a brilliant little sister...

Another important bit ----->
This is the aforementioned (means I said it already) little sister, Emily Taylor. Although not the "official" heir, there is an entire plot that centers around her. THAT'S why there are so many chapters for generation two.

Notice how the important bits are in bold? That's a thing. (I use only the most technical of terms, btw.) I will put all the important bits in bold for those of you like to skim.

You're welcome.

We begin with the beginning.
Of generation two, that is. If you want to know what happens before the beginning, read generation one. I have provided two lovely summaries for the 53 chapters it contains.

Emily is still a baby, and Ethan wants attention from his parents. The redhead child is Claire.

The kids grow up.

That's Emily with the glasses. This is before toddlers came around, so they're both children at the same time for a few sim days.

The boy in this pic is Drake Goth, son of Alexander Goth. Yes. THE Alexander Goth. When I first started, I deleted most of the starter families, but for some reason, I couldn't bring myself to delete the Goths. So, of course, that meant that Brielle would become best friends with Alex.

There's this whole big deal in generation one that Alex is in love with the founder Brielle. She doesn't return the feelings and breaks his heart.

More on that later. Hm. I guess it's not a "thing" for generation one only.

Drake is a jerk. He tricks Emily into doing his homework for him.

Ethan ages up.

Cutie!
He actually looks just like his maternal grandfather.

At the end of the birthday party, Ethan is distracted from the conversation with Claire by wondering about her shorts. They're...short. And they have rips in them. He likes looking at her butt.

Huh. I forgot to mention Ethan's friend Branden. Oh well. He's not that important other than saying he's a jerk. He does push Ethan to act on his crush with Claire.

Smoochies!

Emily is Daddy's little girl. (That's Graham.)

More of Ethan obsessed with Claire's butt.

He finally asks her to be his girlfriend. So... that means he can grab her butt all the time, right?

Back to Emily. Drake is a meanie head. He teases her for being so smart. She's a child but she attends high school. (story-wise) The other kids call her The Freakazoid.
Drake comes over to her house to watch a show his parents won't normally let him watch. That, and to get Emily to do his homework. She does it because he's her only friend.

OH.
This.
This is a terrible pic to introduce my Alex Goth to you. But then, that's life.
Did I mention he and Graham are mortal enemies? No?
He and Graham are mortal enemies.
There. I did it.

Poor Alex. He really is a nice guy...except when it concerns Graham. After all, Graham married the woman he fell in love with. Oh, he still loves his wife Laura, but it's a thing.

The parentals find out about Drake getting Emily to do his homework, so they supervise them more, and instead of doing his homework for him, Emily is now Drake's tutor. Being a Goth, Drake annoys Graham with his very presence, so Emily tutors him at his house most of the time.

Emily spends a lot of time at the Goth house. She and Alex become friends. He can explain answers to her many questions better than most adults because she reminds him of himself as a child.

For example, he teaches her the practical application for the quadratic equation. (IKR? I couldn't believe there was one either!) He likes how brilliant she is. Both he and Laura like having her over all the time.

Then I disappear from writing sims stories for a while.
9 months, I think.
And no, I wasn't pregnant.
I went back to college (3rd time's the charm, I hope!). It took a while for me to get into the groove of doing my schoolwork and still having time to write on the side. Obviously, I've figured that out. So far, straight A's! But, that has nothing to do with the summary, so I'll continue...

I transfer my save to my new MacBook.

Ethan forms a club. (what a lame expansion pack, by the way) He tries to play Cupid with his friends and fails miserably. This is Kelsie and Branden. They get married later and have a son. I think his name is Ted, but I'm not sure.

It's that time again!

Now that Emily is a teen, Graham is worried. You see, he was a YA when he fell in love with Brielle while she was still a teen. (he didn't know because she lied about her age)
Graham is afraid that karma will pay him back some way using Emily. His biggest fear: Alex Goth. After all, according to him, Emily looks a lot like Brielle. And he's convinced Alex has never stopped loving her.

Drake aged up as well.

Being forced to his schoolwork on his own really brought out the smart in him, and he starts making all A's. This means he doesn't need a tutor anymore. (Emily is in college now, going after a degree in chemistry.)
Hearing Drake doesn't need a tutor anymore really upsets Emily, even if she can't pinpoint why. Drake invites her to hang with his other high school friends.

Ethan becomes a cop.

Back to Emily. She gets jealous of Drake paying more attention to Yuki than her. She says some rude things, shocking the two of them. Yuki runs out with Drake after her, mad at Emily. She runs out after the two of them...

...and runs into Alex. After explaining her woes to him about not fitting in, he shares with her how he never fit in either. Then, he offers to drive her home.

When they get there, Graham goes nuts (remember what I said earlier about his big fear?). He pulls the stay away from my daughter bit. Alex is like "don't even go there!"
Yeah.

Graham bans all involvement with ANY Goth for Emily. She's furious.

Drake ain't happy either. He's all like "it's not my fault our dads hate each other."

They have little idea why they hate each other. So, they decide to investigate why.

Well, Graham doesn't want to discuss it with Emily; Brielle avoids talking about it. Drake asking his parents about it starts a fight between them.

Being told he wasn't allowed to see Emily anymore makes Drake realize he likes Emily as more than just a friend. Emily thinks he's nuts, that the two of them dating would be a bad idea. Drake disagrees.

I love this picture.

Graham goes nuts and starts yelling at Drake. Listening to the fight makes Emily decide that she does want to date Drake after all.

Drake is really happy.

Graham supposes he can just bide his time until they will inevitably break up.

Remember how I said Drake's parents had started fighting? The blonde is Laura Goth, Alex's wife and Drake's mom. She didn't like the look on Alex's face when Drake asked him about why he and Graham fight all the time. She's thought Alex had gotten over his obsession with Brielle. That look told her he hasn't.

Alex charms his way back into her good graces. Although he's a game-created starter family townie, I really like what I've done with his character. And to this day, I'm still not finished with him. :)

Then Laura goes and picks a fight with Brielle that's so stupid that it's not worth mentioning. Except I just did. O.o
Anyway, it prompts Brielle forcing Graham to talk to Emily about the family feud. (and I'm not talking about the show)

Mortimer Goth dies, and Alex goes back home for the funeral. Oh, btw, I don't call the "towns" by their in-game names. It's all one city, Eden, and the towns are different sections.

Laura is nervous around Bella, but they're okay with each other after a while. Bella blames Graham for Mortimer getting arrested and Drake finds out Graham is really a spy when he's been telling his family he's an accountant. He decides to hold that information to himself.

Drake begins to realize what it means to be a Goth and how cool it is.

Meanwhile, Graham finally has that discussion with Emily about his fears of her and Alex Goth getting together. Her wanting to date Drake Goth is barely better in his mind, but he promises not to stand in her way.

This concludes section one of the generation 2 summary. I hope you enjoyed the ride, and please keep all hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the page until the section of the summary comes to a complete stop. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
