"Who's Daddy's little girl? Huh? Who is? Who is?" I say in a baby voice to my precious daughter.
"Daddy girl! Daddy girl!" she replies, giggling hysterically.
"Yes! You are! Anastasia is Daddy's girl!"
The maker has moved us to the desktop now that the game lets her disable expansion packs. This way, we can still be 'uncomplicated.' Sadly, however, the game save she thought was most recent turned out not to be. It was when Anastasia was still a baby and my cooking level was at four. She didn't want to go through the hassle of putting another save on Google Drive, so she decided to have the hassle of making ME work my butt off getting my skill level back up. Now, I have, and Anastasia is a toddler again like she's supposed to be.
Bonnie has her prom, and she attends it solo. It's now that I find out that her once-boyfriend Shravan dumped her for someone else. That explains why Bonnie acted sad for a few days, but she somehow managed to get through it without the help of her clueless father. I told her I went to prom by myself too. She gave me a look like that didn't make her feel better.
At prom, she's named prom queen. The maker is getting sick of the easiness with which this happens.
Bonnie may have gone alone, but she catches the attention of someone else who also went alone to prom. At least, that's what I gathered because it was loads of 'Rashawn this' and 'Rashawn that' when she gets home and for days afterwards. Who the plum is Rashawn?
There are no skill-up books for fishing. At least, the maker can't find any. It looks like I'm going to have to skill up the old-fashioned way and let my bookworm trait get pushed to the back burner. I try fishing in some areas, but we get a creepy notification that my skill needs to be higher to fish there. After trying all over the place, I find a hatchery!
While Bonnie is at school, I take Anastasia with me on my fishing trips. She happily crawls around in the parking lot. No cars ever show up. She loves playing with her toys. I think my fishing obsession has started rubbing off on her because she names her toy rabbit 'Bait.'
Turns out I like fishing. I love being outside and to enjoy a peaceful quiet. Still, the real reason I'm building this skill is never far from my mind: to catch a deathfish, to make ambrosia, to bring Mandi back.
I stay up late hours, studying from fishing journals. I discover all kinds of different baits to use. Cheese? You catch a red herring with Cheese? Ha!
My fishing skill grows to a point to where I'd need to visit more remote locations to make it worth my while. I don't want to take Anastasia with me to those locations. Sure, I could go to the hatchery some more, but I really don't feel comfortable being inside with those big tanks and my toddler not having enough space to play.
Anastasia is happier at home where she can play with her toys, so while Bonnie is at school, I pick back up where I left off writing my romance novel. My current emotional state helps me with the feeling of anxiety my characters have as they try to meet in the next life. They eventually find each other, making that the end of my book. I write and rewrite and edit my ending dozens of times. I like writing that part. I want to live that part. Mandi was taken from me too soon! Yes, I like writing the ending the most.
I do finally finish it, and it's a bestseller. Of course it is! Not a word of it was something that I didn't first actually feel myself, even what I hope for the future. My fans immediately beg for a sequel. I don't know about that. I like the ending the way it is.
Wait a sec... Where did Dad get that laptop? Is that why I had to buy a new one? Whatever happened to 'you can't take it with you'?
---------------------------------------------------------
Short one. Oh well, that's nice every once in a while.
So, yeah, Nick also has moved to the desktop. My laptop is being used for my job, and I'm beginning to remove things from it.
Gossip:
-Torrance Rao (Nick's nephew) married someone named Pansy
-Jarod + Melonie (neice) = Leila
-Addie had her baby with Jaycen Hendrix, and they named it Don. Really? Still obsessed with Donovan Steele? This 'hood has a Donovan, Donnie, Donny, and a Don. /sigh
-Bonnie got into a fight at prom and lost
-I have Damion Rao (nephew) again! But he and his wife are fighting.
-Pat Brewer (old IF) engaged to Ebony Hamilton
-Emilio (Bonnie's half-brother) ages to teen

He's a man on a mission. He's determined to get his wife back, I hope it works out for him. Aww poor Bonnie got dumped. At least she's hopefully found a new and better guy to give her time to.
ReplyDeleteVery accurate way to describe him. Other than caring for his daughters, that thought consumes him.
DeleteYeah. :/ I kinda liked Shravan. During prom, I was literally like, "Who the hell is Rashawn?" because I kept getting the notifications. You'll see him later. :)
