The Maker has gone crazy with the 'Get Bonus Simpoints' thing and bought the 'Brunch at the Old Mill' set. She wanted the canning station since Anastasia is going to be a gardener. So, she spent 1700 simpoints JUST to get the canning station since it still cannot be purchased separately. 1700. Yeah. (Incidentally, she then saved up 1900 points and bought the artisan workshop, proving even more that she has way too much free time, plus having an easy time doing it and work at the same time.)
"So then, Don said I couldn't do that because I was a girl, so I told him to shove off," Anastasia says, telling us about something that happened at school.
Bonnie replies in a dull voice, "Good for you."
"He's so mean! I don't know why I even talk to him anymore," Anastasia continues.
I reply, "No one says you have to, especially if he's mean." Don is Addie's son with Jaycen Hendrix. I automatically don't like him because of that.
My sims refuse to do what they're supposed to do on my tablet screen. That is so irritating!
All I want is for the two of them to get together! Why is that so hard to understand?! I mentally scream at my game. Anastasia says something else. Bonnie mumbles a reply.
"ARE YOU TWO EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!" Anastasia yells out of nowhere, startling both Bonnie and me.
I immediately put away my tablet and look at my daughter, finally seeing the scene from her point of view. "Sorry. You're right."
I walk around the table and hug my precious girl. "You don't have to be friends with him if you don't want to. You don't have to listen to what he says."
"It's okay. I have other friends," she replies while her little arms cling to me.
I look over at Bonnie, who's still reading her book. "Go upstairs and get ready for school."
She replies with an annoyed sigh, "Fine."
I stand back up, Dad's ghost walks into the room with a plate of food, and I think, Anastasia's childhood is quickly coming to an end. I look over at my dad, wishing it were Mandi's ghost and not his. She's missing so much!
I finally achieve the 'Speed Writer Challenge' while writing my sequel. My agent was really on my case about it, wanting me to bend to the will of my fans. I don't need the money. I don't need to appease my fans. Still, I decide to write the sequel anyway because it helps me with my frustration that Mandi's ghost has yet to visit again since I've got the ambrosia in my personal inventory.
The first was Savior of my Heart, so I decide to go along with that and make the next title 'protector' of my heart.
I play the proud parent at Anastasia's scouting award ceremony. Since she wasn't a scout for long, she only gets a participation trophy. I doubt any parent in the history of Sims has ever cheered so much for a participation award.
I tell Mandi's gravemarker about our growing girls, trying to keep from tearing up. It doesn't work. Mandi, where are you?!
Although not a bestseller, the sequel is a hit, earning a bit more than its predecessor, $2,455/week. I also get a promotion to level six of the writer career.
That day has arrived. Both of my girls will age up. I uncharacteristically throw a party. As I walk over to cheer on Anastasia, I notice the bar tender has as of yet to visit the bar, not doing her job.
(yikes)

Congrats on getting the mill. I have that set and I've used it only a few times. I really need to make better use of it.
ReplyDeleteI felt bad for Anastasia when she was trying to talk to her dad and sister. Talk about making the poor child seem uninteresting, and unwanted. She got ignored by both of them. :( I wonder if he'd even had noticed if she just left the table in the middle of the conversation she was trying to have with them. Something tells me no. :(
What no shot of Bonnie all grown up?
Most of it, to me, is useless. I can't imagine any of my characters doing the tea do-hicky-ma-jig ever.
DeleteThat scene where Anastasia is talking to them just struck me as funny while I played because it looked like a scene that's all-too-common in today's society. So, I thought I'd write it. She actually only sat there for about 3 seconds. Then, she thought about her IF, and I thought that was funny, like she was saying, "hah. I don't need y'all."
The party ain't over yet. I thought this chapter was full of enough junk, so Bonnie ages up in the next one. :)
