Clifton stays long after the party, staying in the kitchen and talking to Giselle. Tiffany tells me that they plan on her immediately moving into his family's home. There is no mention of marriage. I cannot imagine Papa allowing this.
Then the Maker takes Milo to university, intending to write a chapter in his point of view. However, the entire experience makes her angry. She tries to set up situations that she thinks would work well for his character, and most fail. Also, speaking of fail, Milo fails two exams and passes one, earning a C overall.
She's so disappointed. He doesn't have the attraction moodlet for the pretty little fairy she wants to set him up with. She moves him out to live with Clark and Skye.
Besides, she has my story to tell.
I continue to be madly in love with my wife who smells like flowers. My favorite times are in the middle of the night when I can hold her in my arms while she sleeps.
Tiffany stops me on my way to our shower in the little house. We still eat in the main house.
"Donovan, before you get ready for work, I have to tell you something. But I don't know how to tell you."
I chuckle. She looks so beautiful when she's excited about something. "What is it? Just tell me."
"We're going to have a baby!" she blurts out in a rush.
I have no idea what expression could be on my face. I have several thoughts fly through my head all at once: I'm going to be a father?! She's pregnant? Really?! I got her pregnant! We're going to have a little baby! Really?! Baby?!
"Really?!" I cry out.
She laughs at me, an honest, happy laugh. "This is the Donovan I fell in love with," she says happily and throws her arms around my neck. Her lips meet mine in seconds.
"Mmm," I 'say' happily. I love it when she throws herself at me. She's pregnant. She's pregnant with MY baby.
Why do I have to go to work when all I want to do is carry her off to the bedroom?
She pulls back just enough to say, "Yes, really."
No. Kiss me again, I beg to her in my mind and bring her lips back to me. I don't want her pulling away yet. She can feel my rapidly-changing mood, and she starts squirming.
"Donovan... You have to get ready for work," she reminds me quietly.
I whine, and I hope it sounds cute. "Tonight?"
"Yes," she promises, and I let out a happy sigh.
Tiffany later tells me my mother has the same look on her face when she hears the news. My wife happily says that that was the first time she ever felt like she connected with Mama. She says that Mama said that she always felt like she was overwhelming Tiffany, that she thought Tiffany wanted her space. She'd had no idea it looked like she didn't like her.
We turn our little house into a workshop for Tiffany, and we move our bedroom to what used to be the boy's room. Mama pulls out the crib and places it in Giselle's old room.
Tiffany gets to work learning the science skill. Later, she also tells me of this conversation:
"Rose told me I needed to come talk to you, that you'll have something you'll want to tell me," Papa said when he walked into Tiffany's workshop.
"Oh! I thought she'd just tell you herself," Tiffany replied.
"No, but she said that if I didn't hear it soon that she'd explode." He laughed to himself.
"Donovan and I are going to have a baby," she told him simply.
She says that Papa stood there not saying anything. She couldn't tell what his expression was.
Then he hugged her with no warning.
"This is wonderful!" he exclaimed. "When?"
Tiffany says she was still trying to recover when she answered, "Well, the typical amount of time it takes a sim pregnancy, even if the Maker stretches it out in the story."
Papa still smiled widely when he said, "Maybe it'll be another child just like Rose, since Donovan's just like Rose. But I'm sure if the baby is like your side of the family, that would be wonderful too."
I'm just like Mama? I think as Tiffany tells me all this. The way she says it implies that I act like Mama.

Incidentally, both Donovan and Tiffany want a boy.

All that woo-hoo as bound to produce a kid at some point. LOL I hope they get their boy since it's what they both want. Guess we'll wait and see how things go.
