Rose 11: I'll call it soccer until the day I die

Fiona keeps getting startled when she accidentally makes her dinosaur toy disappear. She cries every time, and I just tell her to make it come back. Then she does, and everything is fine until it happens, predictably, again.

I start showing more. Pedro still hasn't gotten a promotion. It's really making me mad. I try to leave the gardening to him since he needs the skill for his job. I have no idea what gardening has to do with science, but he claims to need the ability. Still, he comes home and is so tired he barely has any time to eat and try to help me with Fiona that the chore of gathering up the harvestables is left to me. I bought him a book, but he doesn't have time to read it much.
The mayor and Giacomo keep sending me gifts. Giacomo can't be reasoned with, but I really do need to go and talk to the mayor. It's getting ridiculous.

I feel like I've come full circle. It's apple-bobbing season again. Pedro wins. He goes a little nuts turning in his massive collection of festival tickets! He gets us a soccer goal, a snow cone machine, an umbrella for himself, and other random things we probably don't need. Oh well, you can't beat free!
I must admit, I'm a little nervous about the soccer goal. I'm afraid he's going to make me play more.
Oh, speaking of which, he insists it's called football. I tell him no, it's soccer, and I'll call it soccer until the day I die. You wear much more padding to play football.

Also at the fair, we get a family photo done. I'm not thrilled with how the photographer had us stick Fiona on the floor. She refused to try to stand since she can't walk yet. The picture looks off balance. Still, we really look like a family regardless.

One night, just before Pedro was going to finally turn in, I go into labor. He panics a little bit this time. He wants to be there, but we can't take Fiona. So, he gets on the phone to get a sitter while I fly myself to the hospital, not content to wait. I have to stop a few times as contractions hit again. I don't recommend doing this, by the way.

Because of my stops and the babysitter's prompt arrival, Pedro arrives at the hospital as I'm walking in the door.
Somehow these past months, I carried what turned out to be an 8lbs 6oz baby boy inside me. He's so much bigger than Fiona was! I'm surprised that's all he weighs.
      We name him Link.

Pedro is happy, and I'm happy he's happy since I'd worried when he said he'd wanted a girl. He only grinned and told me he wanted both. I worry what I'd do if I had twins. Fiona only just recently got potty trained, if I had two more after Link, I'd have three in diapers!

All babies look alike. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up looking just like his father or sister or both.

We buy a darling little bassinet from the hospital for him to use until Fiona grows out of the crib.
I suppose we're going to have to forward that addition to the house since I don't think a brother and sister should really share the same room, but we have a while before we have to really worry about that.

One evening I hear Pedro with his son when I stand just outside the door.
"And maybe you didn't get your mother's lack of talent for football." he says quietly and I scowl before I hear him say, "No, let go of Daddy's necklace." There's a little bit of grunting as I'm guessing he pries the newborn's grip off of the necklace.

I go ahead and walk in to get Fiona and take her downstairs to eat. Pedro opens his eyes for just a moment, smiles at me, and goes back to humming and rocking. It's all I can do not to drag him downstairs, throw him on the bed and um... make another baby. Yeah. It's just something about the way he's just standing there like that holding the baby that's incredibly sexy. Later I guess.

After I get her out of the highchair, I deposit Fiona on the floor to play.
"March." she says quite clearly and distinctly to the toy, I guess naming it. I have no idea where that came from.

Other stuff:

I randomed Link's traits and got neurotic (oh, fun) and artistic. He's also a wizard.

Someone named Georgia Giordano is stalking Ron Frey. Honestly, that guy's a real jerk WHY would someone want to stalk him?

Pedro finally got the acclaimed author LTR and no jealousy to boot. Rose got the suave seller, so that should make for better painting sales, when she sells them.

After this and before the next one, Pedro finally, finally gets promoted to lab tech.
Also, obviously, I gave Fiona a new look at the end. I'm happier with this look. :) It was just getting too cold for her to go around in nothing but a diaper and since I went into CAS to change that, I gave her hair a little more life to it.

Hm, now I'm seeing SP told me this Georgia person that stalks Ron is dating Kerry Tapia -watch out, Kerry! This woman's track record isn't so great. He already has one stalker named Paloma by the middle of the beginning of the next bit. What is with the women of this town stalking the guys?

    1. I think so too, esp now since I know how he turns out hehe.
Pedro was snuggling Link and I just couldn't get over how sexy he looked doing it. I'm glad that hair turned out okay. I really don't have much recent experience with sim toddlers since I haven't had one in over a year due to the stories.
He FINALLY got promoted. took forever.

      Thanks for commenting!
