There's a serious problem with stalking in this neighborhood. I've never seen it like this. I'm guessing it's some kind of setting that I normally don't set to this. I'm getting weary of keeping up with who is stalking whom this day/hour/minute. So, I've just decided the ones that keep circling around and stalking each to call them the 'stalking ring'. The Stalking Ring includes Paloma Monty (the one that married the ghost), Georgia Giordano, Ron Frey, Kerry Tapia, Sebastina Russo, Vincentio Pantalone, and Victor Metzger so far. So, that's enough with the stalking unless my family is directly related. Yay!

My shrew died! It just died! Not only merely dead but really most sincerely dead! I don't think she's going to get better! I never even gave her a name, I just called her Shrew. Poor Shrew spent most of her life in a cage. Sure, she didn't have to worry about being eaten by a hawk, but is that a good trade off? I am a horrible person, and I'm never keeping another terrarium pet. It's cruel.
Pedro is a little sad to see her go, but he mostly thinks I'm being ridiculous. I remind him I'm pregnant and he needs to shut up.
I also hear through the grapevine that the mayor's wife is preggers again. I wonder if it's his.
Also, speaking of babies, Giacomo calls to tell me Florence had a girl, and they named her Dalma. He still isn't married to her, but they live together. Most of the time, I just patiently talk to him and steer clear of any dangerous topics, and he does his best not to get weird on me, happy I at least talk to him. /sigh.
Christmas is slowly approaching again, and Pedro nails something to the ceiling.
"Hey, Rose. Come here a sec." he says, and I waddle over.
"What is it?" I ask.
"You mean you don't know?" he asks as I look up at it. "It's mistletoe."
"That's mistletoe? I've never seen it before. Where did you get it?" I ask while looks at me with a wide-eyed expression, surprised that I've never seen mistletoe before.
"Friend of mine at work shot some down this morning." he explains.
"Isn't mistletoe poisonous? What if some of the berries fall off of it and the kids eat it?"
"For someone who's never seen it before, you all of a sudden seem to know a lot about it."
"Well, I don't know. I just remember reading it on a list of 'no-no' plants."
"No-no plants?" he chuckles.
"Yeah. Plants you don't want in your house if you have small children that might eat them. Things like poinsettia, hydrangea -"
"I've heard tomato leaves are dangerous." he counters.
"To rabbits."
"And something tells me having potted wolfsbane in the house isn't such a good idea either."
I gasp. "You're right. What was I thinking?!" I start to freak out.
"Rose... they're fine. The kids are too busy playing with their strange dolls to do anything else unless you force them."
"You're right. Those dolls are strange. Maybe we should get rid of them." I agree, getting even more worried.
All of a sudden, he kisses me. Just a short and sweet kiss, but it does the job of calming me down.
After he's pulled back, I say, "Well, I do know that much about mistletoe."
"That it has magical powers to make me kiss you?"
Magic. Haha. "You need something with magical powers to make you kiss me?" I ask, teasing.
He laughs a little, wraps his arms around me before he says "No", and kisses me properly this time.
A few days later, I go into labor. I'm determined to have the baby at home this time.
As I stand trying not to let out a huge scream and frighten Link, Pedro says, "Rose, this is a crazy idea. Let's get a sitter and go to the hospital."
"Unnnnhh! No." pant pant "Third child after all." I grunt out.
Then, my water breaks, and Pedro really starts to panic.
"Rose, please! We've just got to go to the hospital! I can't do this!"
In the pain of the contraction, my right thumb disappears into my belly. "Shut up! I've got this! You don't have to do a thing!" I take a few deep breaths when the contraction passes before I say, "Um, well, you could go get a mop."
I have a very easy sim birth, and I have another baby boy in my arms. We name him Donovan, and I have no idea how much he weighs. I'll take him to the hospital tomorrow.
I forgot to mention we'd bought Fiona her own crib and moved her into her new room. Link takes her old one, and Donovan takes Link's old bassinet. I love my little boys sharing a room.
No one sends Donovan a creepy doll, thank goodness!
Fiona's birthday comes up, and we have a quiet party at home.
What a little lady.
It feels strange to just tell my daughter to go to bed instead of putting her to bed myself. She's nervous about school tomorrow, but I assure her everything will be okay.
Things aren't made any better when the school bus doesn't come in the morning. So, she gets on her little broom with training wheels on it that magically appears out of nowhere. She starts to relax a little when the mayor's son, Santos, rides up next to her on his bicycle.
My first baby has her first day of school, and she immediately wants to join the ballet class. We sign her up for it, of course.
------------------------------------------------------------
Donovan was born with the genius trait, and I randomed the hates the outdoors trait. He is not a wizard. Great. Just great. I get a genius and he's not magical. Figures. I want to choose an heir with the magic ability, so I guess poor Donovan is out. Still, he's a cutie pie (as you'll see later).
I simply had to throw in the pic of Link taking his first steps.
I simply had to throw in the pic of Link taking his first steps.
I had potty trained and taught Fiona to walk, but I never completed the teach to talk thing, so the game gave her the technophobe trait. That's why I put in the bit about her being afraid of the computer that full moon night in the last chapter. :) (artistic, loves the outdoors, technophobe)

The kids are growing up so cute.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Europeans did actually used to think tomatoes were poisonous? They're in the nightshade family, which is poisonous.
So tomatoes didn't enter Itlaian cuisine until after the 1700s...did you just fall asleep on me? Sorry....
I'd read somewhere something like that, yes. :) No, you're not boring me. Especially with the jazz singer stuff, I soak up historical stuff like that.
DeleteI'd also read somewhere when I had a pet rabbit to not let it eat tomato leaves. I'd read that AFTER my first rabbit died... after it ate a tomato... not the leaves, but I can't help but think... well. I was sad.
It's strange to even think of Italian food without tomatoes though, isn't it? hehe.
When I put up the mistletoe, my analytical side reminded me that it still existed, and it occurred to me the danger of their houseplants. Then that expression for that animation plus the topic, I couldn't resist.
Thanks for reading and commenting :)
*LOL* Get a mop... hahahaha
ReplyDeleteFiona's adorable. :) And so is Link.
