Gnomish Behavior 3: Go get me some nuts

After the horrible debacle of creating Bunbuns, Jr., Bill sits back to contemplate his next move.
"What if I had an army of annoying bunnies? If it's one thing bunnies can do, it's reproduce!" he says to himself.

Another witch shows up on the lot. Rose names her Broomhilda.

And then there are three bunnies. They name the third one "Third".

And the fourth one "Fourth". Fourth likes his name, although he wishes everyone would call him 'Forth' instead.
Bunbuns and his offspring are on a roll. They name the fifth one "Fifth."
"And the sims themselves suspect nothing!" Bill laughs.

Hyacinth comes back from visiting her sister at another house. When Bill tells her about his success with the rabbit gnomes, she gets bored and falls asleep.

"Fourth, you do realize you're watching the back of the television, don't you?" Hyacinth asks.
"Please. I've asked you to call me Forth." he responds.
"They both sound the same. How do you know I wasn't?"
     "I can tell."
"And yet, you can't properly watch a television set." Hyacinth points out.

"The eldest will surely win the heir vote." Hyacinth says with a smile.
"She's not even in the running." Bill points out in a bored voice.
     "What?!"
"Yeah. The maker doesn't like her features, and she doesn't want to pass them down to the next generation."

"Then, surely the second child, also a witch although he prefers to be called otherwise for reasons I don't understand, will win. He's very highly qualified." she says.
      "Probably not."

"And then the frog started hopping around and around the turtle before it splashed into the pond, making a big mess and not cleaning it up afterwards. The turtle told the frog it needed to be more polite to which the frog replied 'ribbit' in a very rude way. It's really a shame that turtles can't give the bird because of how their feet are made. I don't see how giving someone a bird is rude other than the thing might poop everywhere and leave feathers all over the place for the sim to clean up, but they talk about it alot." Third continues to ramble along to the very-good-at-listening plants.

"Ah, my favorite show is on." Fourth says.
"They turned the TV off." Bill says laconically.
"I know that, but I'm watching it in my head."

"Yeah! Get him in the nuts!"
"I like nuts. Go get me some nuts."
Junior and Fifth like sitting out in the setting sun, watching the boys and their games.
        "Not those nuts."

Fourth follows Bill upstairs to the bathroom. "Whatcha doing?" he asks.
"I'm getting in the way of anyone trying to use this shower."
      "Why?"
      "So I can be annoying."
      "Why?"
"Because I hate sims! This is something easy I can do to further wreck their measly, little lives."
      "Why?"
"Because that is my purpose in life."
      "What's my purpose?"
"Apparently, to annoy me even more than I can possibly annoy the sims in this house."

If only Bill knew about the terrifying world of monsters under the bed, he might be able to make use of them.

"The heir has been decided, and he has no magic ability in him!" Hyacinth protests to Bill one day.
"Then will you finally join me in my quest to annoy the sims of the Robles household?" Bill asks.
Hyacinth ponders it for a moment, and she finally decides that for as long as there is no witch heir in the house, then she will do her best to make the sims miserable.

Bill calls for reinforcements. "My brother from up north... waaaayy up north." he explains. "He's Mr. White Christmas, also known as Mr. Snow, Mr. Icicle, Mr. Ten-below. We call him Snow Miser for short."

Rose 30: Skye spam

Rose

Link graduates today!
Pedro is the only one of us that actually has an umbrella, and his is destroyed. The rest of us get soaked.

Chasity has one. I guess she has more sense than the rest of us.

(I had the best time listening to and laughing at the bullsh*t names during the graduation ceremony. It's been a while since I've sat and listened to it.)

Link graduated as valedictorian! He was voted most artistic.

We're all about to starve to death since the ceremony interrupted brunch. So, we all go home, and Link and Chasity move into their little house inside the city wall. One has been built in the neighboring lot where I lived when I first moved here.

(Bye, Link! Now, go make pretty babies with your wife! Yes, be fruitful and multiply.)

(I'm going to apologize ahead of time for the Skye spam. I just like to look at him. The camera loves him too.)

Skye

"How many times are you going to believe his bullsh*t?" I ask Carmen almost angrily.
"Skye!" she exclaims, shocked that I'd resort to swearing. "And then he accused me of cheating on him with you." if only "I told him we were just friends." huh "He didn't believe me, so I got mad at his gall. So, I broke up with him."
I feel my jaw drop and my eyes widen as what she just said finally makes its way to my brain.
She starts giggling at my slack-jawed expression.
She takes a step towards me and puts a hand on either side of my face. "I finally saw him for the jerk he is.. the jerk you've been trying to tell me he is for forever."

Then she wraps her arms around my neck. Oh. I can't help but bring mine tightly around her waist. I love the way her hair smells. I love the way this feels. I don't want to let go.
So, what does this mean? Does this mean that she likes me like I like her? Because she knows I like her. At least, she'd better. I've only just about told her a billion times or more.

I'm thrilled that she's not trying to wiggle out of my hold. Instead, she rests her head fully on my shoulder. I like this.
She starts talking again, and I honestly try to pay attention. I keep getting distracted by the smell of her hair, among other things.
"...and so I got mad at him. Crystal graduated, and she's staying with Glen. I won't be too surprised to find out they're engaged soon. Anyway, so Efren, when he saw that, he started begging me to forgive him and come back, but I'm not having it. Besides, I don't even like him anymore." Then she whispers, "I like somebody else."

I pull back to look at her face. "Tell me what you mean by that." I nearly plead.
Giselle walks into the living room, obviously having escaped Mom. Carmen looks over at her nervously.
I turn to Giselle and ask her to leave.
"Put a sock in it, Skye. I don't have to go anywhere. This is the living room. A communal area. ... that means an area where everyone can be, by the way." she finishes like I don't have a large vocabulary.
Carmen shakes her head and says, "It's okay. I don't know what I was saying anyway."
Noooo! I could strangle Giselle right now if I thought I could get away with it. What Carmen said, and especially was hopefully about to say, took guts. Now, she's lost those guts.
I'm sure when I look back on this, I'll wish I had just taken her outside, but I also don't want to lose this moment. "Because you know I like you." I blurt out. I'm not sure why I started with 'because', but she doesn't look like she minded. Still, she looks incredibly uncomfortable thanks to Giselle. At least, I almost hope it's due to Giselle.. who's hopefully ignoring us while she watches her stupid soap opera. "Please tell me if it's me." I ask while she fidgets.

"Okay, well, I'm going to take a chance here since you know I like you, and I have to ask. Will you go steady with me?" I hope I'm not blushing like a girl. "If you don't want to, it won't ruin our friendship. I just want to ask you before anyone else goes and asks you before I get a -"

    -chance.
She doesn't let me finish, but I don't mind. Right now, I don't mind anything. I don't even care if my brat sister is staring right at us. Carmen is kissing me. Wow.
She starts to pull back, and I lean in and try to make it last a little longer. It was just a simple kiss, and I should be surprised she did that in front of Giselle. I still don't want it to end yet. I guess I'll have to pick up where we left of later because she succeeds in pulling away.

"I take that as a yes?" I ask, and she nods nervously.
I have rendered Carmen speechless. Cool.

After Carmen goes home, I go out in the backyard. Ever since Link graduated, I can't get anyone to play with me. Donovan does nothing but complain about getting burned... or bugs... or allergies, or losing all the time, etc, and Milo flat sucks at it and gets aggravated and leaves. Giselle, the one time I asked her, merely glared at me with a 'you gotta be kidding me' look on her face.

    Carmen is my girlfriend. Finally.

-------------------------------------------------

I've worked on the Rose Chapters tab to update stuff like the half-a-roll that I didn't screw up for the first generation as well as parts of the roll for the second. (Of course, I didn't want to spoil the whole thing.) The next chapter, Donovan ages to adult in the first half of it, but the theme of it keeps it in the 1st gen section.

Stuff that happened:
Glen Romano and Crystal Valenci engaged, just like Carmen suspected. ;)
I roamed around in edit town, came back, and Skye is now the youngest. Dammit, game... he ages up on Thursday.
Giselle has quite a following of guys. It must be the aqua-phobic trait lol. I keep getting bombarded by notifications and phone calls. Driving me crazy a little, actually.

Deaths:
Gino Ferrari, Myles Burnett

Births:
Beppe + Marta = Cosma (f)

Oh, and here's an adorable pic that didn't fit in, but I just had to take it:
Just an ordinary expression.. he does those so well.

Rose 29: She's all he ever wanted

Rose

I can't help but smile when I see Skye dancing with his little girl friend in the living room. He reminds me of his father trying to dance. Maybe Skye is a little better, but he still makes me think of Pedro. I have to turn around so that I'm not staring because he notices me and smiles.

"I made brownies if you want one." Milo tells Carmen.
"Oh wow, you really do look like Skye." she answers instead of saying whether or not she'll have a brownie.

"Maybe you need to go make an appointment with an optometrist." he tells her.
     "A what?"
     "An eye doctor." he clarifies.

Skye talks to Carmen quite a lot on the phone over the next few days.
"So, what did he say?" I hear Skye ask her. "Please, tell me you don't actually believe that." He sighs dramatically and puts his forehead in his hand.

Pedro has finally given up on trying to convince me to have more children.
There has never been a time when I've ever felt like his love for me, or mine for him for that matter, has waned. I hope all my children wind up this happy and secure in the knowledge that their spouse loves them.

The day before Spooky Day, Chasity comes over. She says she doesn't mind sleeping on the couch until tomorrow when Link ages up and they get married. She ages up right in front of all of us plus a few guests.

     After her makeover.

The first thing Link does after he ages up is to make his engagement with Chasity official.

(That's Angela flirting with Donovan in the background. She's had one of the longest-running teenager-hoods I've seen.)

Link says that he likes that he aged up and got married on Spooky Day since he really takes his magical abilities seriously and plans on being a master magician someday.
The day didn't matter to Chasity. She just wanted to get married.
I just can't help but cry! He's only ever loved one girl, and that's all. She's all he ever wanted, and they're so happy, and where are the tissues?

(Somebody, get Rose a tissue for heaven's sake!)

Link has his graduation tomorrow. He's been named valedictorian!

We're at home having dinner when the great announcer in the sky declares that it's time for Milo to age up. For some reason, the great announcer in the sky claims that it's not time for Giselle, but we're doing it anyway.

After they have makeovers. (and in their formal wear)

Apparently, there was a prom scheduled for tonight, but the boys didn't worry about it since we decided to celebrate Link's birthday/wedding instead. Giselle, however, freaks out, thinking that she's missed her only chance at a prom since she aged up during it.
I watch as Link and Skye give each other a knowing look.
"You know, Giselle," Donovan breaks the silence, "you don't have to go to prom. It's not like it really matters in the long run."
My babies are growing up too fast. It's strange that Donovan and Milo are teens at the same time, but Donovan ages up coming up this Monday.
I'm interrupted from my reverie as Giselle argues with her older brothers about the importance of prom. She finally gets mad, walks over and kicks Donovan in the shin, messes up Skye's hair, and tries to push Link's face into his plate of food. Then she stomps upstairs to her room. Milo wisely walks into the kitchen. I guess she got my temper.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Notable Notes:
*I finally got rid of the stupid thing that was causing my sims to stand in the middle of the sink to do the dishes! yay!
*Pedro completed another drama book, Acquaintances, earning 1,002/week. I put last time that Pedro achieved his LTW, well this is the one that actually did it. I did an edit. This gave him 37k points, and I saved up a tiny bit more and got him a clone voucher. Not 100% certain I'll use it, but I was curious.
*Donovan won the art-a-thon.
*Ron Frey was scheduled to die, but Grim gave him a reprieve since his wife was expecting.
*age ups: Link - I chose natural born performer, Giselle was given frugal, I chose bookworm for Milo

Deaths:
Gino Ferrari and Myles Burnett.
