Rose 12: Weird stuff happens on the full moon

Go ahead and accept that this is confusing (as gossip can get): The Paloma that was stalking Kerry Tapia, who's dating (Kerry, that is) Georgia Giordano (who used to stalk Ron Frey) is now dating Valentine Monty-- the ghost who still resides in his living wife's house. I need to correct something. The Monty family that has all the children does not live across the street. However, the ghost does, and Kerry Tapia lives next door to Rose. I guess while Paloma was stalking Kerry that Valentine decided to make his move. The old saying 'til death do us part' really means something. I can also guess he's keeping bizay while he waits for his wife to die.
Ugh, too complicated. My head hurts. On with the chapter:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Link's painting didn't turn out as good as Fiona's. Oh well.

I don't know how I got along without this swing with Fiona. It's the best!
Link is one day old and Pedro approaches me saying he wants another one. Is he crazy? I literally just had a baby! Thing is, I think I want another one right now as well. First things first, however, we need to pay our little son some special attention as well.

    My babies. /happy sigh.

I read in the paper today that Ron married Rosaria. Obviously, the mayor never hit on Rosaria. I wonder what that woman looks like. I need to get out more. I've been doing nothing but go around in my nighties all day taking care of babies and painting when I get the chance... which is actually more often now thanks to the blessing of the swing. That thing was worth every simolean.

I'm so surprised at how when I was pregnant with her, Pedro wanted a boy, but now Fiona is definitely Daddy's little girl. He's helped her with her walking, so now we have to put things up higher out of reach because our little tyke can get into everything!

After I sold two paintings for a good load of cash and the city gave me two promotions in a row, we decided to go ahead and build that new bedroom. I had to destroy the lattice work on the back side of the house, and I don't trust those columns to hold the room for long. I plan on building an office under it anyhow. I'm tired of placing my easel willy-nilly all over the place and having Pedro's computer in the living area. Still, for now, my easel resides in the new room. It will be Fiona's room when she gets old enough. Right now it doesn't have any furniture other than that Sunlit Tides-esque painting I did what feels like ages ago and my easel. I don't even have any lights in it so far. That will get remedied quickly.
Speaking of needing more space! Giacomo got Florence preggers!
I don't hear from him quite every day, but it's still too much for my own peace of mind. I also still need to go and have that little chat with the mayor.

One full moon night, Fiona walks up to Pedro while he's writing, and he doesn't see her at first until she tugs on his shirt. This scares him so bad he hits a strange key combination that somehow puts up this nasty face on the screen. It takes us ages to calm her down because it frightened her out of her wits.

Once we finally get her calmed down and in the bed, plus feed Link his bottle and change him, Pedro pulls me to him in the living area.
"Hey." he says with a strange look on his face.
"Hello." I say right back, not knowing what he's getting at. Weird stuff happens on the full moon.
"I love you." he says with that silly grin on his face still.
"I love you too." I say, still not knowing where he's going with this. We tell each other we love the other one before he leaves for work every day. It's something I picked up from my parents, and my mom from her parents. My grandfather died at work one day, and my grandmother always regretted that she never told him she loved him enough. "But I know that."
"I know you know that. I'm saying it anyway."
Alright. I really do love him.
Then he kisses me, and I wonder just how soon he wants to start trying to make a baby again.

Typical me gets momentarily distracted. "Do you think Fiona is okay? She really had a terrible scare."
"She's sleeping soundly. She's fine." he tells me and reaches up to stroke my face for a second. "Rose, about more children..."
        "It's fine with me."
"You sure? We don't have to. We have a boy and girl."
"But you said you wanted as many as you think I can handle, remember?"
        "But you haven't been yourself."
Huh? "What do you mean? Are you saying I'm getting into a rut? Are you saying you think something's wrong with me? I'm sorry I'm not my usual perky, happy self! I'm tired, and I haven't been able to express myself with my art enough lately so much that I feel like I'm going to explode and paint will end up everywhere! So, you're saying I'm no longer the woman you fell in love with? That I'm some stranger that you're worried about me? Is that was this is about? I mean, I can try to-"
He kisses me to make me stop my rant. I was about to tell him I'll try to act like I used to. As usual, I overreacted.
"I knew you'd react like that when I started this. That's why I started it off by telling you I love you." he says once he releases my lips. "I'm just worried you might be getting depressed that you're stuck in the house all day."
"I'm fine." I lie. He looks at me like he doesn't believe me. "Okay, I'm not fine, but I'm not as bad as you think. I don't have to party all the time like I used to, and I want another baby as soon as we can."
"And I'm thinking about quitting my job and staying home to write again. We're both making more money off these things that some people might call hobbies. Then we'll have more time together."
"We're together right now..." I say and smile coyly up at him while a single fingernail traces his collarbone under his shirt.
"I try and have a serious conversation with you and all I wind up doing is dragging you off into the bedroom every time." he nearly growls as he does just what he said he always does.

As far as babies go, we both decide to just let mother nature decide whether or not we have another baby.
Pedro spends many nights both listening for the babies to start crying and writing a new fantasy novel. He claims he's part of a sleep study at work, so it's good for him to be tired at work for once. I don't mind the full night's sleep I get.

What feels like the next day, I'm sitting at the table thinking about that scary doll that Fiona seems to love so much. Link had gotten one in the mail too. I really don't know where they came from. The note said it was from 'Your dear Aunt Millicent', but I don't know of an Aunt Millicent. I've never heard of her. What if it's a conspiracy and the things are planning to take over the world by getting the younger generation to fall in love with them only to take control of their minds when they're grown?
I look down at my breakfast calzone and my stomach turns over.

So soon? How did this happen? Okay, well, I know how it happened, but so soon? Link isn't even out of his bassinet yet... not that we use it much anymore. He spends most of his time in the wonderful swing. I'm getting sick of the little music it plays, but I like the music better than the crying.

I tell Pedro later in the evening after we've predictably changed into our jammies. Even though he wanted this, he goes on and on about how in the world are we going to be able to afford this and that he's going to have to keep working for the science facility as well as write. He's such a worrier.
     He is thrilled though.

The next morning, I catch him in the kitchen downing some strange liquid. He explains to me (with a guilty expression) that he'd bought it at the magic shop and the saleslady told him it was a job performance booster thingy, and that he'd found it when he went to go sell some of our excess wolfsbane. I really need to learn alchemy. Maybe someday.
I hear a lot of yelling outside in my neighbor Kerry Tapia's yard. Apparently, his girlfriend Georgia didn't think much of his idea of breaking up with her. I secretly wonder if she's going to stalk him now. That seems to be the 'in' thing to do with the crazy women in this town.
I really need to get a life. Here I am, standing here staring out the window at my neighbor fight with his now ex-girlfriend. This is none of my business. Why do they have to be so loud, though?

We have a quiet party at home for Link's birthday. Again, black hair, but he has my baby blue eyes! We immediately start noticing he can make his toys disappear. That is, when he plays with regular toys and not the scary doll.

----------------------------------------

Gonna end it here before this chapter goes on forever and ever cuz there's no real good stopping place. I just wanted to be sure to show how cute Link looks to be turning out.

Georgia starts stalking Ron Frey again instead of Kerry like Rose expected.
Paloma married the ghost Valentine Monty. This should be interesting since they all live with his living wife... well, when he was alive. Oh SP, the things you throw at me. There's more drama going on OUTSIDE the house than in LOL!

Oh, and Rose wants a girl. Pedro wants both again.

Pedro didn't get a promotion the day he took the enhancer, but the bar is at the top. Too bad it was a Friday and I had to wait until Monday.

There's a stalker war going on between Sebastina Russo (grumpy old lady) and this Georgia woman.

Oh, I took this picture on Fiona's birthday cuz I thought he was kinda cute. His name is Orlando Romano. Well, I'm not the only one to think he's cute apparently. I've gotten plenty of SP messages saying that someone named Cipriana Costa and he are getting hot and heavy, etc. But then right after one of them I suddenly see that he's appearing 'totally committed to' Alessandra Giordano? huh?
Wait a minute... Giordano? As in Georgia Giordano? Her daughter? I've really got get Rose out of the house and meet more of these town families so I can understand better all this stuff. LOL :)

  1. So many babies so close in age! I don't envy you, I have loads of multiple births, and they make me want to pull my hair out! So I'd never choose to have babies so close together!

    1. Going from no sim babies to tons at once... ugh, at one point, Fiona, Link, and new baby are all babies/toddlers. It was one sim day and I thought I'd lose my mind. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and Pedro was home from work!
I'm really making them close together to get it over with and I'm hoping that siblings so close in age might make for some tasty drama later on. :)

  2. That's a lot of babies to handle. I don't blame Rose for staying in her nighties all day.

  3. Pedro better be careful with those potions! Maybe you should build a rehab in your world *L*
Two magical kids... that should be very interesting. Hopefully Rose can get some rest soon, after Pedro makes it big :)

    1. I really should use more potions, but I don't ever get them made or 'waste money' buying them.
