Uncomplicated Generation Two Summary Part Two

     Mandi's been in an accident. Someone texting and driving ran a light and hit her as she was crossing the street. They could save the baby, but Mandi suffered too many internal injuries and died.

     Nick loses it. The only thing he does for his daughter in the NICU is name her: Anastasia. Two reasons: Mandi liked it, and the baby survived.

     Nick hardly leaves his room, hardly eats a thing for two months. Millie, Addie's sister and Bonnie's aunt, helps to manage things. Nick has never even held Anastasia. He's surly with Bonnie and Millie when they try to get him to get up out of bed for anything.

     Not knowing what else to do, Millie calls for reinforcements.

     The last person he wants to see, Addie, is standing in his bedroom, cussing him out for giving up on life. He tells her exactly what he thinks of her, but she says she doesn't care, that it's time for him to stop acting like a drama queen and get his sh*t together and be an adult. He tells her to eff off, but she eventually gets him downstairs to get something to eat.

     Once again, Nick is a single father. (roll: mixed single parent, 2 children) Only this time, he doesn't have his parents to help. Bonnie, however, is amazing with her helping. With him still struggling to regain his strength, she does most of the caring for her little sister.

      Not knowing what else to do, Nick seeks some unconventional help. She tells him of a way to bring Mandi back to life: ambrosia. But the way to do it is very difficult...and expensive. Nick doles out 12k in addition to the regular 'consultation fee' for the instructions and recipe. He has to max out his fishing, gardening, and cooking skills.

    He gets to work, ignoring his books for now. Well, all except for one: the fairytale he'd told Mandi the night of his mother's funeral. He's desperate to give it the happy ending he'd alluded to, having the king and queen meet in the next life and live happily ever after, now seeing the king and queen and him and Mandi.

     Mandi's ghost visits! But she's convinced the baby died right along with her, and she won't stop apologizing. Nick can't get her to believe that Anastasia lived.

    Even when she sees her, she doesn't believe it.

     At prom, Bonnie starts up a thing with this guy, Rashawn Canfield. He's really sweet, but he shows up at a time that Nick is out fishing and Bonnie is at home by herself babysitting. She invites him inside. The first time Nick meets Rashawn is to find him kissing his daughter in the kitchen. He tells him to leave, and Bonnie has a yelling fit, saying she's tired of being dumped on to care for Anastasia while all he can think about is getting Mandi back.

     Even though he grounds her for her bad decision in inviting Rashawn in when Nick wasn't home, Nick knows she still has a point, and he cools it with the skill-building for a while, knowing he doesn't need to ignore his daughters.

     Anastasia ages up to child, and Nick goes out and fishes while the girls are at school.

     He also finishes his fairy tale.

    Bonnie offers to babysit so he can fish at night, wondering if that would help. Finally! He catches a deathfish. He'd had a life fruit from his mother's garden already, and he has cooking skill level 10. The last ingredient he needed was a deathfish.

     Ambrosia made! Now, to wait for Mandi to show up.
     And wait.
     And wait.

     Anastasia ages to teen.

     Bonnie ages to young adult.
     Nick's aging has screwed up, and he's somehow constantly reset to mid young adult stage. I'll fix that in a little while.

     Still no Mandi.
     Anastasia has a terrible prom, and she declares she despises the entire school, the entire town.

     Mandi shows up! Nick sets out the ambrosia. (momentarily going against hands off, but I think this is okay)

     She's alive!!!!
     And she's confused. At some moments, she still thinks it's just the afternoon of the day she died, with no memory of the accident. She panics when she discovers she's not pregnant, and she demands to know where her baby is.

     Then, Anastasia comes downstairs.
     Mandi also kind of remembers her time as a ghost as a terrible nightmare. She pushes that all aside for a moment, however. She discovers Nick named their daughter Anastasia. Anastasia says her dad picked that name because she survived. Mandi informs her that she picked that name.

     At last, she's 'found' her daughter!

     Mandi and Anastasia talk for a while, and Anastasia goes to school, planning on going out and getting to know her mom later. It's a bit much for her to take in for the moment.

     Nick takes Mandi upstairs after Anastasia goes to school and thoroughly enjoys kissing the non-ghost her. He asks her again to marry him. She says yes again.

    Still suffering from the nightmares of her time as a ghost, she fights with the confusion. She decides not to finish getting her MD, just wanting to stay at home and be with Nick and her daughters.
     Nick ages to mature adult because I force the issue, thinking it's ridiculous he hasn't yet.

    Nick shows Mandi all the videos he made of Anastasia.

     While Nick and Mandi are wrapped up in each other, Bonnie catches the eye of the repairman, Lavar.

     She thinks Rashawn has broken up with her since he hasn't called in ages, and she sleeps with Lavar.

     Rashawn's mom had gotten kidnapped, and he was unable to call her.
     By this time, Bonnie has realized she's pregnant. Lavar has been calling her almost daily, but she likes Rashawn better. She considers lying and telling him the baby is his.

     But then, she decides she can't do it. She tells him the truth. Furious, he breaks up with her.
     She tells Nick, and he says she needs to also tell Lavar.

     Lavar is thrilled when Bonnie not only answers his call but invites him over. Then, she tells him her and Rashawn broke up! What wonderful news!

     They go upstairs to celebrate.

     She tells him he's going to be a daddy. He goes slack-jawed and brain-dead for a little bit, but Bonnie attributes that to mere shock.
      He has to get some work done and says he'll see her later.

     Bonnie goes to sleep, expecting to see him later that day. He doesn't come by, nor does he ever come by, answer any of her calls, respond to any of her messages, etc. He's done the disappearing act.
     Lucky Palms has gotten buggy on me now with sunken sims (this is before I discovered ErrorTrap), so I'm having them move to Roaring Heights after the baby is born.

    Little Serenity is born.

     The family moves to a large house in Roaring Heights. Bonnie starts a band called Chicken Leg.

     At school, Anastasia notices people talk strange, using old-fashioned words. She finds it incredibly odd when they don't even know what the word 'cool' means. It's like they traveled back in time in addition to changing towns! Giggling, she decides she may as well go along with it.
     She meets a boy at school named Joseph Morgan. He thinks she's really swell, and he asks her out.
     They go out, and he's really sweet as he holds her hand. He doesn't kiss her at the end of it. They go out to the beach the next day.

     At the end of this date as well, he doesn't kiss her, even though she thought for sure he would this time. Thinking he was just too nervous, she kisses him. After he gets rid of his shock, he kisses her back like crazy.

      In the midst of all this, Serenity ages to toddler. She has Addie's eyes.

     The next weekend, Nick and Mandi finally get married.
     A girl Anastasia has come to despise shows up, Helen Jones. Then, she and Joseph start flirting with one another!
     Just as she's about to go and chew them both out, a boy asks her to dance.

    He advises she ignore it, the two over there flirting. He reminds her she doesn't want to make a scene at her parents' wedding. She knows she's seen this guy at school, but she can't remember who he is.
    From other things he says, she figures out he's Helen's brother. He informs her that Joseph and Helen have been dating a while, that their families are long-time friends and they've been wanting to set the two of them up for ages. He also tells her that Joseph has told everyone at school that she's a fast woman. He says that Helen knew he was cheating on her but said that Joseph could have his little tart if he wanted to.
    That does it for Anastasia, and the blonde guy looks like he regrets telling her all that. He tries to stop her from storming over there again, but she won't let him.

      Joseph doesn't understand why Anastasia gets so mad. He, out one side of his mouth, says he didn't see her as a 'bit of fluff on the side,' but, out of the other side of his mouth, he says that she kissed him therefore she must be 'that kind of girl.'
     She slaps him across the face, tells him he needs to leave, and asks him to take his tramp Helen with him. Then, she goes off to the bathrooms to cry.

Off to Generation Three! The first tiny bit of it still has Anastasia as a teen, but she quickly ages up.
