Brooke 5: In the time before rendering

Luna goes outside to pee (great dog), and howls. Then I find out why...

That must've been extremely painful to suddenly grow to ten times your size!
She's a big dog. I hadn't expected that.

Never had a lazy pet before. This is hilarious!

Adam is such a sweet husband. :)
Anyway, apparently I can't adopt Noah since the other child has to be adopted in a non-biological adoption. Oh well. Maybe I can work him in somehow in another way. As in, send him to his 'grandmother's' or 'aunt's' or something. Edit: Turns out I can, so I will!

Just a silly Luna pic.

Luna and Brooke get along much better. Luna still has the occasional 'holy crap! my owner is a witch!' moments, but it's more something about which I'm more entertained instead of annoyed most of the the time.

Boy, dammit! I mean.. Boy!

Luna pees on their bedroom floor, and there's a routing failure preventing them from cleaning it up.
Does this thought mean Luna wants to get doggie-married? Puppies would be cool since they're only going to have two kids (and I'm planning the adoption for much later).

Adam in his workout wear, getting an opportunity call from his other baby mama. >.>

The baby doesn't have its own room yet, so I just slapped some furniture in their bedroom. I can't decide if I wanna move them to a new house or not. I like the size of this house, but they really don't need such a big house, and the layout is a little strange. I'm still debating.

"He said Daddy!"
"No, he didn't."
"I swear I heard him say Daddy!"

Looks like the cop-lady has another mess to clean up.

I particularly enjoy Luna's thoughts while the burglar gets beat up and arrested. So much more interesting than the boring, usual ones that Adam and Brooke do.

In the time before rendering, there are only shadows of things to come.

Adam had a wish sitting around to do a stakeout. So, I simply click on him while they visit a community lot and have him do it. Does he go outside? Nope. He spins into his swanky work wear and pulls out the bush pompoms. Go Adam go! I'm sure they'll never see you there especially with the way you have your back turned to everyone on the lot.

Brooke stops reading to go into labor. Birth pics always crack me up.

Ever the good husband, Adam packs his wife up in the car I didn't have to pick out and buy and drives her to the hospital in his swanky work attire.

I wouldn't want to go into a hospital if the first person I see leaving it is a ghost. Nope nope nope!
There's not much of a choice in Aurora Skies, however, and the pair of them go inside to have their baby.

Brooke somehow magically beams over the stroller from the living room to put little Paul into.
Yay! A boy! Friendly and Genius. Very good traits. I don't have written whether or not I picked 'em or rolled 'em. Either way, her pregnancy was great. I bet I picked 'em.

I save right away. I get up for a second. Game crashes. Haha! Take that, game! I lost nothing !!!!

  1. WOO! You beat the game!!! :D Well done.

"In the time before rendering, there are only shadows of things to come."
    Just LOL.
That happens to me all. the. time. And then the sims slowly pop up one by one, then everything that's been CASTed is grey for an age while it loads the colours. I spend half my life sitting on 'pause' while things load. May as well bring back the loading screens from ts2...
    No, don't really, EA! Argh!

Woo! A boy! I hate how they teleport the 'stroller's over (we call 'em pushchairs. How inventive!)

Did the burglar steal anything before the copper got there?

    1. LOL! Come to think of it, I haven't crashed in a few playing days. I took these shots ages ago and only now am writing them up. I get real antsy about saving now.

That line cracks me up to! I was going to do some kind of nuclear blast shadow thing, but I like what I put better.
Me too. I spend half my time waiting for crap to render. So, in my legacies at least, I'm going to make fun of it. >:) ... like the invisible sims. Crazy epidemic.
NOOOOO no more crazy loading screens! It already takes 30-45 mins to load the game period. I keep working on reducing that time, but then I download more CC and it goes right back up. Sigh.

:D For once, I'm happy with a boy. Got so sick of em when Rose was having her kids. Ya know, that was before I knew what apples did. I knew watermelons got girls, but I didn't want to influence the gender. I had Rose eating her conjured apples frequently. Guess that's why the Robles family is full of boys.
Pushchair makes more sense, but why the hell should something make sense. What gets me the most is parking in a driveway and driving on a parkway.

Nope, the alarm went off, she freaked out, cop showed up, won fight, and arrested. Kinda boring actually. :)

  2. ok first love the stroller. That isn't a game one is it?

Aww congrats on baby Paul. I can't wait to see what he looks like. Luna grew up to be a cute dog. The labor pics are always funny. Love the faces they make.

    1. I THINK I got it somewhere at TSR. 8 times out of 10 I get it at TSR. Yes, I think it was when I was looking for cribs and ran across a stroller and it looked like something I'd get at IKEA or something, so I got it too.

I don't know why I expected a foxhound to not be a big dog. I guess I had bassets on the brain for some reason. I really like her coloring, and now I'm wondering if I should get another hound or really mix things up.
      Labor pics are hilarious. :)

  3. Luna is a lovely dog. I loved the lazy pet pic...my cat Yang was super lazy, and I remember this one time, she walked until she was almost at her bowl, then flopped down on the floor and reached her paw out and slowly dragged the bowl toward her.
Congrats on the baby boy. =D

About adoption, you can adopt biological relatives. Someone once had her heir's parents pop out an extra kid at the beginning of the next gen, and then killed off the parents leaving the heir to raise her newborn sibling as her own. You really have a lot of latitude for interpretation in this challenge, and I think adopting Noah would be fine.

    LOVED the title, lol.

    1. Oh okay, good then. I'll adopt Noah after all and put in an edit to this post. :) It didn't read to me in the rules that I could do that with the mixed couple thing.

Luna cracked me up when I saw her doing that.
LOL on the story about Yang. I can SO see that happening.
      Thanks!

  4. LOL!! I love that last author's note thing, of you losing nothing. That's awesome. Hahaha, the dog thinking "Kill burglar" oh dog justice. Haha! I love little Sim boys, so yay for apples! =) OMG yes a ghost leaving the hospital is kind of disconcerting. LMAO.

    1. :D Didn't lose a thing!
I love Luna's thoughts. I think I'm really going to like having a dog for once.
I have my reasons for wanting a son instead of a daughter. :)
IKR! Why the heck would a ghost want to go to the hospital anyway? I can't think of a good reason. Oh, I can think of plenty of reasons, but none of them what I'd call good.

    2. Ahhh okay. ;) I don't like Sim girls cause I find I really get bored coming up with clothes and hair for them. I much prefer dressing up little Sim boys. I was kind of thinking the ghost thing was like some surgeon didn't do their job right, so the patient died on the table. o_O

    3. :) I love dressing up Adele. At times, I'd wished I'd given her longer hair in the beginning, but I thought that it made more sense for an only child/daughter of a single guy would cut his daughter's hair short.

Good theory with the ghost! LOL
