Rose 24: The word yes

     My sister has problems. I stick around in case she needs me or something. At any rate, I'm not entirely sure I trust either of these Monty brothers. I've known Allen for forever it feels like, but he's not been himself lately. I don't really know Antonio all that well at all. Fiona acts aggravated I'm still standing here.

      Oh, Don brought a girl, um, Angela who's older than even me, home. I think she's even older than Chasity.

      Chasity... I think with a warm glow spreading inside of me. Allen distracts me when he gets me to call Crystal to see if she could come over. I don't get it, but I figure that as long I stay out here, I can make sure this doesn't get out of hand. I hope. She says she'll come over. I scowl a little as I think about how eagerly she agreed.

      

     Allen and I stand here and shoot the breeze, both of us pretending to not pay attention to Fiona and Antonio's conversation when Chasity gets out of a magical taxi. I immediately tune out Allen, Antonio, and Fiona as my entire vision gets taken up by her beautiful face.

      I wonder if this is what love feels like? I think as I don't even care that the carpool that has come to pick up Allen for the job that he doesn't want to go to today runs into the back of the school bus that's dropping off Skye.

     For an eternity, we stand here and stare at each other. Allen gives up on me and walks over to interrupt Fiona and Antonio... or something... I don't know.

     I float over to her. I like how she's staring at me like I'm staring at her. I wonder what made her come over. Well, this is good since I couldn't catch her today at school to ask her out to prom.

      "Hi." she says a little shyly.

      I smile a little and say "Hi" right back.

      Crystal shows up in a magical taxi that acts aggravated to get stuck in the carpool car that Allen refuses to get into. The school bus finally drives away, and the carpool car finally gives up and leaves. I only notice all this in the background.

     In the very back of my mind, I note that Allen is no longer bothering Fiona because he's talking to Crystal.

     Chasity blushes and looks down a little - I guess because I won't stop looking at her. I still don't quit. I like how the setting sun is hitting her cheek just right, proving how perfect her jawline is. I realize I need to say something to break what is probably an awkward silence, but it doesn't bother me to just stand here and stare at her. I wish I had a picture of her... just like she is right now.

      She starts talking. "So, um, well, I guess you can tell why I'm here since you can read my mind and all."

      What? "Huh?" I ask in confusion. "What makes you think I can read your mind?"

     Her head pops up. I like this better. "You can't?"

     I feel one corner of my mouth go up as I answer, "No, that's vampires." I guess at what she meant.

     "Oh." she says and blushes again.

    She really needs to stop blushing like that before I just up and kiss her right here in front of everyone. That would probably shock the hell out of her since I've never kissed her before. I want to fix that asap. I hope I don't suck at it.

   "Well, for whatever reason, I'm happy you're here." I say, hoping to make her feel more comfortable. I need to ask her to prom. Maybe I should do that before I kiss her.

     She doesn't say anything.

     "Will you go to prom with me?" I blurt out. Just like that.

     "Are you sure you can't read my mind?"

     "Well, right now I wish I could." Just answer the question! 

     "Yes." she smiles. I've never liked the word 'yes' so much in my entire life.

     We talk about different stuff: prom, dumb teachers, the gossip column in the school newspaper, and stuff. Allen and Crystal leave together. Chasity notices, and after she turns back around to me, she shrugs with a goofy grin on her face. Fiona and Antonio disappear to somewhere. I guess she solved her Tony problem.
     Now it's just Chasity and me standing in the front yard. The sun sets, and lanterns appear next to the sidewalk out of nowhere. That's nice because otherwise it would've been too dark.

    I honestly have no idea how I convinced her to let me, but all of a sudden, I'm massaging her shoulders. I guess I don't suck at this at least from the noises she's making. She rolls her shoulders around and I walk around her a little while she turns back to me with a small smile. I get suddenly brave.

    I lean in and give it a shot. She acts surprised, but she doesn't push me away.
    Oh, I know I can do better than just this!

    She lets out this little girlie noise as I really throw myself into the kiss. I throw my arms around her to keep her from falling backwards. Well, of course also because that's just what I want to do.
    I'm probably overdoing it. 
    I wonder what she'd say if I asked her to go steady?
    I need to back off a little.

    "Mm-mm." she makes a negative noise when I start to let go of her and pulls my arms back around her while she kisses me back.
     Wow.

     Okay then, I think as we really start kissing. I'm guessing I don't suck at this.

    When we come up for air, I say, "I've been wanting to do that since you got here. Today anyway."
    She giggles. "Are you sure you can't read my mind?"
    I smile a little and wink at her as I say, "Maybe I can."

    Encouraged by my successes tonight, I ask her to go steady.
    Again, the word yes never sounded so good.
    To think, I thought the other day was good. That was nothing compared to today.
    I'm so glad she came over.

    After she says yes, I can't help but kiss her again.

    We talk for only a few minutes more before she says she has to get home. I mentally note that tonight she stayed a lot longer than the other day.

    Tonight, I happily dream about a wonderful future with Chasity.

Gossip time!
Pedro keeps rolling the wish to have more babies. Enough is enough!
I bought Rose the 'magic hands' LTR.
My darling Donovan got sick, but he still wound up on the honor roll. Fiona got on the honor roll as well. I guess Link has been too busy to finish his homework.
More stalking: mentioning it now because it's Angela stalking Allen. Haha! SP tells me she's going steady with Galen Bianchi tho so I have no idea what's going on with that. Allen really is acting like a player. When I had him in the family for a few minutes, I took a look at his relationship panel and he had at least three ex-girlfriends. Maybe Fiona really did pick the right brother!
