Chain Reaction 3.75: Fill a Swimsuit Top

Charlotte

Just after New Year's, I woke up to a surprise. Jarvis and I figured that since we finally own an actual house, we could try and start a family. I can't believe it worked so quickly! When I told Jarvis, he must've had his chest puffed out for three solid days. It was hilarious.
Turns out Chloe has been pregnant already for a few months, so we tell Dad together. He's thrilled.

Not too long after this, Isabella had a boy. She and Kade named him Benjamin. Benjamin Love. Chloe and Tommy moved into the house right next to Isabella and Kade's.
Things are still weird between Isabella and me. She's accepted our apology, but since there was little friendship there to begin with, there's nothing there now. It's sad, but I try not to dwell on it.

At the end of spring, I was already really showing. Jarvis hated to hear me call myself huge. The way he acted, I wasn't big enough. Honestly, did the man expect me to blow up like a balloon?

But what can I say? I love the guy.

To try and convince me to eat more, he even takes me to one of my favorite restaurants.
Of course, The Maker has since deleted this restaurant because not all the tables get served. Our food got prepared and then sat on the kitchen stove shelf. We finally had to get up and leave before I starved to death.

Lately, though, the summer has been brutal. I don't go much of anywhere except for the little kiddie pool we bought. It was supposed to be for the baby, but I'm getting plenty of use out of it now.
Chloe is so lucky her pregnancy is over.

She had a girl they named Eloise. Eloise Keenan. I have a niece!

During the middle of the day, I stay indoors with the air on. Jarvis works at the store. He's had to hire a new employee. I hate that. It's supposed to be me working with him, but it wears me out. So, instead, I spend quite a bit of my time sleeping.

Now, it's late summer, and Jarvis fixed me pancakes before getting ready to work at the store.
"I don't think you should go to the store today."
"Lottie, I told you. I have to. We need the money." He reaches over and squeezes my hand. He misses me during the day, too.
"No, I don't think you should go. I need you here."
He sighs and takes a bite of food. He looks like he's trying to figure out a way to repeat what he said before, but I don't give him a chance.

"AHHH!" I've got his attention now. "Oh, plum, my water broke."
After his initial freaking out, Jarvis agrees that he should stay home after all. He calls our new employee and tells him, and then he tries to get me to go to the hospital. I don't want to. Dad said that Mom had me and Chloe at home, so that's what I'm going to do.

He's not really happy about my decision, and he swears to me that at the first sign of trouble, he's carrying me to the hospital if he has to. He hovers around me, almost driving me crazy... until I figure out he could at least be useful, and I get him to massage my shoulders and back.
After a few hours, I finally convince him to take a shower.
But then I regret my decision. This baby is coming. NOW.

I barely make it in here in time to deliver.

Before I really know it's happening, I have my little baby girl. Jarvis and I already decided that if we had a girl that we'd name her Brylee.

Jarvis missed the delivery. I hope he's not too upset.
The nursery door opens, and his mouth hangs open when he sees me holding our daughter.
"It happened so fast. I barely had enough time to get in here." When I look at him, I don't see that he's upset. He's staring at Brylee.
"May I hold her?" He looks every bit as choked up as the day he asked me to marry him.

I watch as he just melts. No, he's not upset at all. He starts talking to her, saying how she's Daddy's little girl and how he'll be a hundred times better than his own father. He already is. And he's adorable to boot.
Brylee starts crying, and my own body's reaction is kind of scary. I mean, I know that I know what people are feeling, but it's like my body instinctively knew she was hungry.
"I haven't fed her yet." I giggle when Jarvis sticks his finger in her mouth. "And I'm afraid you're going to have to hand over your daughter for a while."
He speaks to Brylee. "Mommy says it's time to eat, and I think she might be right." He removes his finger, and the little tiny person makes a huge wail.

I take her from him and start feeding the apparently ravenous little creature.
Jarvis chuckles. "Oh. That's what those are for."
I look at him questioningly. "What do you mean?"
He points to where I'm feeding Brylee. "I just thought their main purpose was to fill a swimsuit top." He laughs to my exasperated sound. "Need any help? I could hold her. Or I could hold the other one if, you know, it gets too heavy."
I smile and shake my head at my husband's antics. My already well-endowed status has done nothing but get bigger, and Jarvis isn't complaining, even when I complain they're too heavy. "No, we're just fine."
"Is it weird that I think you look incredibly hot right now?"
I kiss my baby's head and whisper to her, "Daddy wants to steal your dinner."
"No," Jarvis answers in a regular volume. "Daddy just wants to play with the bottles."
"Well, Daddy will have to wait. He has to share." I finish feeding her while Jarvis just stands there and watches me. I don't mind.

"I plumbing love you." He's giving me a goo-goo expression like he's under some crazy love spell. Has he drank Sakura Tea?
     "Jarvis! Language!"
"What? She's a newborn. And you're still plumbing wonderful."
I know that look. "And really tired."
      He smiles. "That's okay."

"I can carry you." He kisses me. "Let's make another one."

  1. So sweet and sappy. A huge relief after watching Emily lose herself to Drake.
