Chain Reaction 3.73: Rebellious Spirit

Mildly NSFW--which happens a lot with Drake chapters, I'm noticing. :<
---------------------------------------------------

Drake

She went to see him again. I hate it. He's locked up, yet he still gets to woohoo her? Why did I go through the trouble of framing him for Graham Taylor's murder if he still gets to woohoo the love of my life? She loves me. Why else would she have kissed me back like that? She's angry at herself. I get it. It's not like her to cheat, but is it really cheating if it's with me? No. No, it's not.
She's been avoiding me. Perhaps I've been wrong to give her her space after that moment in the backyard.
I manage to corner her in the kitchen. Alaric has been playing with his friends more often, but I still come over. Even if Emily's constantly in communication with the aliens from Sixam.

"Emily, why are you avoiding me?" I move to take her hand, but she swiftly pulls it away.
     "You know perfectly well why."
"No. I don't. I thought that moment in the backyard was the start of something."
"You thought wrong. It was a mistake. One that won't happen again." She brushes past me.
"You're lying." Oh, how could I have been so stupid as to give her her space?! I should've kept at her, reinforcing what happened.
     She turns around. "Excuse me?"

"You're scared to admit you liked it." I start closing in.
"I was caught off-guard. That was rotten of you, Drake." She puts her hand up on my chest to try and slow me down.
"No. It was rotten of me to break up with you. It was rotten of me to think you needed space after what happened the other day. It would be rotten of me still not to do anything right now."
"Leave me alone, Drake." Her voice is shaking.
"No, Ems. I'm not going to make it that easy for you to deny what you're feeling. You want me."
    "No."
"Yes, you do. You're aching for a real man." Not some loser old coot who got knocked up by an alien. I grab her.

     "No!"
"You keep saying that, but you don't mean it, do you?" I wrap both arms around her and bend to kiss her chest.
"I do mean it. Stop it, Drake!" She feebly pushes against my shoulder while I work my way up to talk low into her ear.
"Is it quivering, Emily? Does it miss me? It's mine. It's always been mine." I stick my tongue in her ear.
And then she roughly grabs my ear and pinches it to where all I can think is pain pain pain pain pain!
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!"
She starts lowering me to the floor. "Now you listen to me, Drake Goth. I am not 'yours' nor will I ever be 'yours' again. Do you understand?"
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow." I take a breath when she loosens her grip. "No." I grab her knees and throw her over my shoulder. Couch.
"Drake!" she yells. It doesn't matter. These are soundproof walls, and Alaric is at a friend's house. She starts punching my back. Hard. It hurts, but I do my best to ignore the pain. I'm going to teach her a lesson.
I throw her on the couch and climb on top of her, just like I've wanted to do so many times before.

"You like it rough? I can do rough." The other day in the backyard, she'd slap me across the face several times but would always go right back to kissing me like a starving woman.
My hand moves down her curves and lands on her hip. Her stockings stop at her thighs, and that drives me wild. She's not the only one who's starving.
"Drake! No!" she yells when I yank off her panties.

I hold down her wrists when she tries to pinch my ear again. She tries to twist free four or five times, but the truth is that her body wants this too much to really try and stop me. Instead, she yells a combination of 'oh maker's and 'no's and 'oh, holy plum, Drake!' I think that gets the idea across.
Sweet Emily tries to fight her climax, but she's unable to win that battle. Of course not, this is mine.
I undo my pants. She tries to twist away, even panting like she is. All I let her do is twist underneath me. Then I pull up her skirt.

I take back what's always been mine, being rough like she wants it. "Tell me you like it."
    "No."
"You do like it. You need it."
    "Plum off."
I laugh in spite of everything. Oh, that glorious attitude! Then I go right back to working on her. "Oh, I am plumbing off, Emily. And I know you'll still need more after I'm finished. It's part of what makes you a perfect Goth."
Still rebellious, she pants out the words: "Mrs. Alexander Goth!"
"Not anymore!" That pissed me off, so I starting using enough force to hurt. She cries out, but her body responds, and I let loose.
As soon as we're recovered, I get off her, and we both get off the couch. Once we're standing, she slaps me, hard, across the face. I knew it was coming, and I take it.

     "How dare you!"
"How dare I? I dare because I love you! Because you need it! Because you need reminding that you love me too!" I step closer, and she slaps me again. It stings. "Go ahead and keep slapping me, Emily. Punch me. Kick me. I will. not. stop. Just like I can't stop loving you."
"That's not how you show love!" Slap again. I think my lip is bleeding.
"Maybe not the way in which I'd like, but I'll do whatever it takes to get you to understand. Everything except leave you alone." I grab her again and squeeze her chest. She rams her heel down on my toes, giving me enough pain that I let go.
     "Get out!"
     "No."
     "I'll press charges!"
"And have your dear husband find out that way?" I wipe my mouth and look at her as she climbs the stairs and looks at me over the railing.
"They... They won't let me see him!" She starts crying.
So she DIDN'T see him today. I climb the stairs and gently hold her. She doesn't stop me. "Face it, Emily. You need it. You have too much fire in you not to. And he's not here." He probably numbers among the 'transferred' now. "Use me. You don't have to get emotionally involved right now if you can't take it. Let me be the man you need right now." I kiss her forehead.
She lets out a few sobs. "I hate you."
"I can take it." I look down at her and lean down to kiss her deeply. She lets me. For a few blessed moments. Then she pushes me away. I let it happen, and she walks to the stairs, probably going to her room.
"Get out. I never want to see you again."
"But you will. I'll be in your bed tonight, Emily."
She gives no reply but to stomp up the stairs. If she really wanted me to leave, she could do it, and I wonder if she's going to call the cops when she gets upstairs. I can handle it. But I don't think she will. She might think she still prefers Alex right now, but that doesn't mean that can't change. And a satisfied woman is a happy woman, and with her husband gone Maker knows where, I'm the man for the job.

After Alaric goes to sleep, I go upstairs. I've been sleeping downstairs, but I have a promise I need to keep. I do indeed join Emily in her bed. The entire time, she verbally and physically abuses me while her body begs for more.
This becomes a habit. For weeks, Emily hates me during the day, but she lets me love her in the darkness of night. I leave before Alaric wakes up. My favorite moments are the minutes just before I have to leave, when Emily sleeps in my arms. She's so peaceful and beautiful, and I long for the day when she'll finally realize she doesn't hate me. She's stubborn, and I love her for it. I'll wait. It'll happen.

Before we know it, Alaric's birthday arrives.

As the kid blows out his candles, I realize I've been too distracted to notice that we haven't hung out as much as we used to. It's almost like he's avoiding me. Come to think of it, he's been avoiding Emily, too. Does he know something's up?
Well, eventually, I'm going to be his step-father. Maybe it's better to tell him now so he can get used to the idea. Alexander Goth is missing. They've tried to put out a report that he's escaped from jail, but it's bull plum.

He's probably dead, I think happily about Alex just as Alaric comes out of his quick makeover.
I look at him and think, He's a Goth, most definitely. And with Emily's brilliant and rebellious spirit to boot.

  1. Okay. I refuse to buy it. That she would settle for this kind of relationship. Either she loves Alex or not. If she does and she woohooed with him on regular basis during her visits, why would she even need this jerk?
Anyway, Alaric looks interesting. A little squinty eyed but interesting.

    1. I get it. I do. I understand. But then you have to think: Her father has been murdered; her husband is in jail; she despises her brother; her mother sees her as a traitor; her sister is scared of her. Drake is all she has left as far as adults go. That's the way she feels, anyway. And having only Drake yet hating him is making her crazy--along with everything else.
She has lost her mind. And I guess I didn't make it obvious enough: Alex has been missing for weeks, a couple of months now. That's certainly no excuse (especially the first time), but it does help explain her lack of mental capabilities. Trying to deal with everything and also deal with Drake just isn't happening. She's reached her limit and has snapped.

As for Alaric, yeah. The squinty-eyed thing is interesting. But looking at his family tree, Brielle's mom had those eyes. And Brielle has those eyes--that shape anyway. He is a product of a slew of genetics.

He's really grown on me too. Probably because he takes over...
