Sunshine Blogger Award

(slightly different rules, I see)

Thank you, Bugsie2016, for the nomination! I can finally get to doing this now that it's Saturday.

Da Rulez:

1. Thank the person that nominated you.
2. Answer the 11 questions.
3. Nominate as many people as you want and ask them questions.

My questions:
  1. If you could be one person from History who would you be?
  2. Who is your favourite character to write (currently)?
  3. What came first the chicken or the egg?
  4. What is your favourite line of a song?
  5. How similar are you to above said character?
  6. If you were given the chance to change one thing about the world, what would it be?
  7. Favourite Sims hairstyle (any game)?
  8. How do you come up with ideas for your story?
  9. Favourite quote from your story?
  10. Favourite simlit tory (other than your own)?
  11. What animal best represents you as a person?

1. If you could be one person from history, who would you be?
I cannot actually think of anyone. Different artists, rulers, writers, Jesus' disciples, military leaders, etc went through my head, and I could think of a reason for each that I wouldn't want. It mostly has to do with the medical facilities they would've had at their time period. At age 40, life expectancy is a bigger deal, and I like how things are today. So... today... if I could pick anyone, I'd pick one of the famous, successful writers of our time because they've already endured the slush pile and risen above it.

2. Who is your favorite character to write (currently)?
Jarvis. Definitely Jarvis. Inwardly, he's such a poet, which will become more and more evident. I've actually been writing him for months now, the chapters I release currently are several months old just in case I need to fix something or insert something else before whatever happens happens. Anyway, he's so secretly sensitive... maybe not as secretly as he'd like. Plus, the way his stomach reacts to things... well, I'll let you see that for yourself.

3. Which came first: the chicken or the egg?
Ah. The age-old question. I say chicken because that's how God did it.
And another age-old question: As for a tree falling in the forest and whether or not it makes a sound should no one hear it fall: that depends on your definition of sound. Is sound the actual waves of air particles moving due to an outside force? Then yes. Is sound the registering of those sound waves upon an eardrum? Then no.
:P

4. What is your favorite line of a song?
I love this question.
"My mama don't like you, and she likes everyone."
I like a lot of classic 70s and 80s big hair bands, but that line cracked me up so hard I almost wet myself when I first heard it. Awesome.
There's another one that I think is brilliant, but I can't remember right now. I'll come back and hopefully edit this when I remember.

5. How similar are you to above said character?
I assume you mean Jarvis. Hm. Some of the same insecurities that plague him hit me on occasion, but I don't know. I don't have the nausea problems he does. Oh wait, unless you count my motion sickness, but his is situationally related. I could say some other stuff, but that would be spoilers.

6. If you were given the chance to change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Another fabulous question. Where I live, race is still an annoyingly-big issue. I wish the world would stop categorizing people. I don't even want there to be boxes to check on race or gender or anything else for that matter. In fact, don't even have a place for a name because names can be giveaways as to what "category" you belong in. Say in the case of college applications, base it completely and utterly on accomplishments. Make it "Your application number is 4338275983 and have this passcode as your proof." Then, there's a database where it can be proven that is not accessible to those in charge of admissions, just for proof. The same can go for other things besides college applications, but that's a good place to start.
The more we shove into people's faces our differences, the more those differences will remain.
When my youngest describes classmates of hers to me, she first tells me about their personality. In fact, I never hear about what they look like. I only find out after visiting the classroom. It doesn't matter to her. We should all be like that.

7. Favorite sims hairstyle (any game)?
Hair in Sims 4 is a big disappointment to me. Sure, it's loads easier for photo editing, but it's boring. Yes, even most of the CC hair. Plus, I don't want to overload my MacBook's limited space with s4 CC, so I'm mostly stuck with what the game puts out.
Sims 3, I played on my desktop with a few terabytes of hard drive space. I had loads of CC.
Both of those female hair styles. I like Bryce's too (dude with the sunglasses), and that was a s3 store purchase.
Erin's hair in this one is my favorite, but it was very difficult to work with editing-wise because of how it would cut into everything.

8. How do you come up with ideas for your story?
Some of my best ideas come from dreams. Also, some of my best ideas aren't really 'my' ideas. They're things people make me think about when they say something-or-other in a comment. Half the time, when I'm writing, I'm just putting stuff down. I don't sit and think about deeper meanings. Then, things are pointed out to me, and I'm like, 'huh. never thought of it that way, but you're right.' Then there are those ideas that just hit me while I'm playing due to the sim him or herself doing something be it a facial expression, whim, etc.

9. Favorite quote from your story?
"Didn't anyone ever teach you it's not polite to point?" -Logan, when Drake had a gun pointed at him.
There's another one coming up that I simply must mention:
"I hope I don't get burned in this deal with the devil." Won't tell you who says it. But it's not far off. :)

10. Favorite sims story (other than your own)?
First of all, I don't like the term "simlit." Just me, I guess.
That's a friggin' tough question. It depends on when. My sims story reading goes all the way back to 1999, so my answers might surprise you. One that ranks as an all-time favorite is "Memoirs of a City Girl." That story is what influenced me the most and helped me want to become a writer. There are so many others, though.

11. What animal best represents you as a person?
Owls. I'll let you figure that one out, but imagine my happy surprise when Pottermore said my patronus is a little owl. :)
(Go, Slytherin!)

Now, for the nominations. First of all:
Dunno if it's allowed to nominate completed stories, but these should be mentioned:
Kiss of a Vampire
The Compound

This is the hardest part for me because everyone I would immediately nominate has already been nominated, so, I'm going to hit up Mastressalita's list and surprise people. :)

Parentcy Challenge: Moore Family by Persefona711
The Lockwood Legacy by MellowMaize
The Duke Legacy by PaleIntrovert

Should they happen to stumble upon this, here are my questions:

  1. If someone asked you this bizarre question, how would you answer: Would you consider yourself more of a fruit or a vegetable?
  2. If you were an ice cream flavor, which would you be?
  3. iPhone or Android and why? Or...no smartphone at all and why?
  4. Which is better: Ninja or Pirate? Why?
  5. If you were suddenly stripped of your PC (assuming you play s4 on the PC) and no longer able to play anything on it, would you choose to play on consoles? What platform would you choose (if so) and why?
  6. You've won the chance to design your own t-shirt. What would you put on it? (don't count any that you may have already designed)
  7. Thinking of the upcoming expansion pack: What breed of cat or dog best describes you?
  8. Pick your favorite season of the year and tell me why it is so.
  9. City or country and why? (as in urban or rural, which is better)
  10. What is your least favorite type of question? You don't have to tell me why. :)
  11. I don't know you, having chosen you at random from the list. What do you think is the best part about your story that would encourage more readers to read it?
