The next couple of weeks have me slowly losing my mind. Every day, I have to act politely in front of my father. He pisses me off because he knows the reason I'm doing it and probably thinks that it'll never work.
But Emily has started relying on me. I've, through my various legit and nefarious contacts, gathered well-known public officials on our side. The tides are starting to turn.
Emily relying on me has us working closely together. But Pops is never too far away. Not having any way to have an outlet for my need for Emily is making me go cross-eyed with lust.
And then I find Morgan straightening things in my bathroom, leaning over slightly to wash her hands. I stand here and watch her for a moment before I make a decision.
She gasps. "Drake!" My hands run all up and down her front before resting comfortably between her legs. "No!"
"I need you, Morgan. I can't stand it." I press her ass against me and moan. All this damn clothing in my way.
She fights me. "Stop it!" Then she turns around and slaps me across the face. In shock, I let her go. She escapes out the door. Recovering myself, I go after her.
I catch her and trap her against the wall with my body.
She closes her eyes like not seeing me will make me stop. I run my hands up and down her curves and wrap her arm around me, landing her hand on my ass. She freezes.
"A child needs a nanny a lot less than a toddler does. You have plenty of free time. I think I know of a good way to 'fill it up.'" I press my thigh between hers.
"Why?" she whispers. "I've done nothing to encourage you."
"Your ass has done nothing but encourage me." I hungrily kiss her pretty face.
"You're my b-boss."
"I want to be your lover. I can make you a very satisfied woman, Morgan."
"I don't n-need it."
"I need it. And it's not polite not to share." I kiss her neck, which I discover is a trigger of some sort. She wilts against the wall, and I start moving encouragingly against her, building up the need she says she doesn't have.
She whimpers and tries to utter more protests, which I shoot down. I will win this. I need this. I've been going out of my mind needing Emily. Morgan will help with that.
She's scared, really scared, so I get gentler, even if I still don't stop. I start to figure out what she can't help but like. My goal is stern encouragement, not outright force.
Then I let her know what she has in store. "I want to drive you out of your mind with pleasure." I've caught her once or twice reading romance novels. I hope I can use that to my advantage.
"But this is wrong." She pouts.
I smile. "Why?"
"We're not married."
My smile falters. Then, I shrug. What the hell. Why not? I smile again. "Then marry me."
Shock, then surprise, then joy parade across her face. She throws her arms around my neck and kisses me. So sweet.
I start pulling her to my bed.
"Wait!"
"Why?"
"Because we're not married."
"But we will be. We don't have to do everything in order." I pull her some more.
She throws out more protests, but I eventually convince her that as soon as we woohoo, she will be my wife. We can just do the paperwork later.
She was a virgin.
Of course, I didn't really mean it about the engagement thing, but I figure I can play it up for a while. If I have to, I'll marry her. Unlike my previous wife, she's harmless.
I was definitely right about one thing, though. She makes me feel much better.
At long last, Adrien Finch does his job and has the case declared a mistrial. That plus the civil unrest makes the government back down. Graham is freed.
When we receive the news, Emily hugs me. Not Pops. Me.
Days later, I find myself missing the protests. They were my best excuse to see Emily. I miss her, but I can think of no real reason to see her, and I'm sad to say Morgan distracts my mind from forming any kind of a plan. I'm letting Morgan plan a small wedding a month from now. I'll stretch this out as long as I can, but I wonder if I'm eventually going to have to let her go. I hate how that might hurt Valentino.
Even though I have a sauna in my basement, I escape to the spa one day. I need to clear my head and get back on track to my ultimate goal. Sure, Morgan is great to woohoo, but she's childish and unintelligent. She's not Emily. Brilliant Emily. Precious Emily.
I think about my stellar behavior all during the time of the protests. I helped her more than anyone. I got a hug. I guess I shouldn't have expected more. In the end, she still went home with Pops. Whatever damage was done, he's surely repaired by now.
It's hopeless. How can I accomplish my goal if I never get to see her?
I sigh. I may as well marry Morgan. Valentino will be happy, and I'll at least have an outlet to vent my frustration.
My frustrated heart cries out for Emily.

There are more shots and parts of the story of Graham's release, but they didn't apply to Drake. They'll show up in later chapters.

Isn't there a woman who could really not want Drake? It kinda grinds my gears that he always gets his way with these nannies and butlers. They can't all be stupid and compliant.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but why would I write about those? :)
DeleteSorry for grinding your gears.
Hmmm. Drake might wind up marrying Morgan after all. Joke’s on you Drake. Emily is Bella 2.0+++ She’s figured it out and is MUCH smarter!
ReplyDelete*cackles* No, wait. Not good stuff happens.
