We're going back in time a little to right after Skye ages to toddler. This is the Monday night when Fiona comes home from doing homework at Antonio's house in the first pic. Then the next day shows Donovan playing around. Then it gets a little easier to tell when we are.

Rose
My children are all growing up so fast! Fiona has a boyfriend. Skye says his first word.
Then, Fiona has her prom. I get all teary eyed. I don't understand why she doesn't wear a dress, but she looks nice anyway.
Sometimes I worry that Donovan takes life too seriously, but then I find him in moments like this. He is totally engrossed in his pretend play. I try not to worry too much about him falling out of the chair as I make my way back to my easel.
Speaking of Donovan, I'm doing a portrait of him. I stop working on it for a second when Pedro walks into the room. I at first assume he's going to work on his next book, but then I see the look in his eyes.
"What is it?" I ask curiously.
He only answers with a quick huff before practically jerking me to him. He's acted so worried lately since he quit his job that this is quite a surprise. A nice surprise, but a surprise.
He pulls back for a quick second to tell me, "We finally paid the last payment on the loan." Then he kisses me again.
Wow, we're debt free! Other than the regular bills and stuff, our money is our own. I can finally really finish that greenhouse, buy a car, who knows what else!
My paintings have also really been selling well at the consignment store. The proprietor told me that an art museum is starting to show an interest in me. Wow, I thought I would have to die before a museum, gallery, etc would be interested in displaying any of my work. Not saying I want to die. I'm just saying.
"Let's go celebrate." he says when he pulls back again. I can't help but giggle. I have a good feeling I know what kind of celebrating he has in mind. So, we quietly slip past 'HRH King Donovan' still standing on a chair in the dining room and go into our bedroom.
My guess is correct about how he wants to celebrate. I'm so happy he can still be romantically spontaneous.
Speaking of romance, I learned a new spell! I can now take and augment any pre-existing feeling of attraction and push it towards love. I can't actually create love, but I can help it along. This should be fun!
The next day, that sweet boy Allen Monty comes over, looking, as usual, to play with Fiona. Um, well, I guess they're too old to play now really. They're still such great friends though. It's a shame that he and Fiona didn't end up a couple, but I don't dwell on it. I wonder why he doesn't have a girlfriend. I wonder if he likes anyone. He's just such a nice boy that I can't just let him go and be ignored.
I watch him look over at Fiona while it sounds like she's having an argument on the phone. Then she disappears into my, um bathroom I guess, room for a minute.
I decide to try something.
I surreptitiously cast a love charm on Allen while he stands and talks to Link.
Then, Link ages to teen. He's such a cutie, and I'm happy.
I wonder what will happen with Allen and the love charm I just cast.
---------------------------------------------------
Yes, then Allen asks Fiona to dance....
---------------------------------------------------
Um, I don't quite know when it happened. Maybe the other day. I don't know, sim things can happen so fast, but I don't think I'm wrong.
I go and tell Pedro that I'm pregnant again. Five kids. Five kids?!?!?! I'm going to be a mother of FIVE?!?!?!
I think he's happy.
I pull back to breathe before I can say, "But Pedro, this many kids?"
"Don't worry, Rose. This is what I've always wanted. A large family."
"Four kids is a large family too."
He grins and says, "I wouldn't mind a round dozen." Then he laughs as I feel my face get pale.
I think this will be my last one, but I'll bring that subject up later. I think as I don't want to end this lovely romantic moment.
-----------------------------------------------
Sorry about the time confusion. This last pic was the evening after Fiona figured out Allen liked her. I'm eventually going to catch up, but I didn't want the updates to be too long. Still, I have gobs of pics, so the updates will come out quickly.
Finally! Rose's last pregnancy. I didn't want to mention it in the teens' chapters because I didn't want to spoil it. I actually had them try for baby on their anniversary, but it was a no-go. So, when the loan was all gone, I did it again with better results. :)

Yay, Rose and Pedro are so adorable together.
ReplyDeleteSo, Rose cast a charm on Allen...I still feel bad for him with his unrequited love. Unrequited so far anyway. =D
Yay!
DeleteYes, meddling mother probably started this whole mess because it's possible Allen could've kept his feelings to himself for longer.
She didn't need to feel like Allen was ignored. Looking at my notes, I see he's had at least two girlfriends in a pretty short time, maybe more. Still, Fiona has always been what he's wanted.
LOL! Rose cast a love spell on Allen? Nice! And 'to play with Fiona, well I guess they're too old to play.' ROFL! :D
ReplyDeleteYes, Rose unwittingly caused a little trouble.C'mon, Rose! She should have realized he would fall more for her.
Deletehehe, too old to play. :-)
Oh, Rose!
ReplyDeleteHow bad that she cast that spell on Allen!!
And loved how she said Allen came round to play :p used to hate it when my mum said that when I was a teenager!
And baby number 5 finally on the way!
Fingers crossed for a red-headed female witch :)
I know I know! She was happy she learned a new spell and whammo! She interfered. She didn't think that Allen might almost sorta love Fiona, and she knew that Fiona had a boyfriend already. She also kinda hoped that Fiona and Allen would end up together. Oh well!
DeleteHehe, I had fun writing that line.
Baby on the way! Hehe, it's a surprise!
Uh oh, bad judgement on that one Rose. I hope that love charm isn't making Allen create things that aren't there :(
ReplyDeleteAll the love charm did was a nudge.
