Rose 2: He doesn't look like a Pedro

Look what showed up as I painted a little more the next day! Neat! I wonder what she does. I've never seen a magic gnome like this one.
I got a love letter from Giacomo. He's so sweet. Still, there's something sinister about him that I can't quite put my finger on. I'm not overly worried about it. Besides, I'm starting to really think a lot about Ron. We may have something special together. I wrote Ron a letter, but I also went ahead and responded to Giacomo's. It couldn't hurt to keep that communication open.

Um, well I guess it could. Somehow, Ron hears about me cheating. I had no idea that we had anything like a committed relationship. I mean, yeah, we slept together, but he never asked me to go steady or anything. I'm crushed when he approaches me at the park... the same park where we met, and 'breaks up' with me. How can he call it breaking up when we never went steady? Some guys have a strange reaction to me like they think they're the only one when they're not. Now, if he'd asked me to go steady, I would've said yes. He never did, so ....

The mayor? He thinks I'm cheating on him with the mayor?!!!! I quickly tell him there's nothing between that creep and me, but he doesn't believe me. He walks away in a huff while some lady I don't know watches from a very uncomfortable closeness.

I start feeling really down when a firefighter approaches me to rescue me from my downy-dumps. I think he said his name was Victor. Vikas? something like that. We have a nice conversation before he quickly runs off. I guess there's a fire somewhere 'cause he books it.

(Patrizio Monty looks a lot different in sims 3 than he did in 2 LOL)

This guy acts like he's really full of himself, but I humor him and we stand here and talk about him. Just him. He's not interested in learning a thing about me. Oh well.
I decide maybe a visit to the bar is in order once again.

I get there and the place is empty, so Pedro asks me to help him break in this brand-spanking-new karaoke machine they got. We ... suck, but that's what it's all about, right?
He doesn't look like a Pedro. I'm sorry, he just doesn't! I would've never in a million years guessed that that was his name.
He looks like he's enjoying this shirt I'm wearing. It's nothing but black lace. Under it, I have a white strapless bra on to match my pants. It's not hard to figure out where his mysterious eyes are pointed today. I put this on with the hopes of Ron seeing me in it. Well, he did... as he was 'breaking up' with me. I'm getting over the humiliation. There are other fish in the sea.. like the one singing right next to me.
Pedro doesn't speak to me much after we sing. I realize he has to work, but honestly, was my singing that bad? It's almost like he's embarrassed to even look at me. I don't get it, so I leave the bar for the park again.

I rent a pair of skates, and the sun soon sets. I start getting pretty good at this, and I meet a friend. I've... forgotten her name. That really gets annoying to forget people's names all the time. Names are important.

Well, I guess I'm not as good at this as I originally hoped.
The paparazzi keep following me around, hoping for more about the mayor and the new girl. Honestly, I haven't seen or spoken to the man since his lame party.

The next morning, Pedro calls me! Um, when I say morning I mean... 6 am. Does the man sleep? We talk for a while... a long while. Apparently, he was too embarrassed by his singing to talk to me last night. That just made me laugh. I even keep the phone on speaker when I take a bubble bath. It's so cute how he acts a little embarrassed, I guess imagining me in the bathtub while I talk to him. Well, I was imagining him in some sexy pj's, so it's only fair that I give him this mental image right back.
When I check the mail, I got a love letter from him. Wow. He's a lot better in writing than in person, not that he's that bad in person.. he just seems a little shy. The guy could woo any girl he wanted by the simple act of writing letters, he's just that good.
He calls me during his break to ask first - why I'm not there .. I tell him I'm too tired (after waking up at 6 am can you blame me?!). two- he wants to know if he can come by my place tomorrow morning. I ask him what time, and he has the nerve to say 6:30 am. He quickly explains that his jobs make it hard for him to have any friends other than his roommates, and he doesn't see them very often either. I ask him what his other job is, and he says it's a columnist for the local paper. Figures.. the guy can write after all. I tell him to come on by. I'm going to hate myself in the morning.

When I wake up, I'm really cold. Pedro shows up at the time he promised... exactly on time. We get to talking, and somehow the conversation (I'd been talking too much about the weather) gets around to him telling me how attracted he is to me. He'd mentioned that over and over again in his letters, but to hear it coming from his very nice lips is something totally different. He tells me how he's just never had time for a relationship. Apparently, he wasn't lucky enough to have an inheritance like I did. He has to earn every penny.
Speaking of luck.. his ran out today. He lost his job at the paper. Something about not checking the facts. He claims he did, but his boss and nasty anonymous people that write not-nice letters claim he didn't. Then, when he gets to the bar, his boss there tells him they've cut his hours due to his job at the paper. When he tells them he got fired and could work the hours, his boss says that he's already hired someone, and she starts today. Furious, he walks out. Well, then he gets to his apartment, and his 'friends' ask him for the money he owes them. He doesn't have it, so they throw him out. Did someone cast a bad luck charm on him? I'd like to find out who. I'd put them on my own brand of ice and then light a fire under their ass.

About 8 o'clock or so, he comes knocking on my door with this horribly guilty look on his face, and he asks if he can come in. It's now when I find out about his horrible day. After pacing as he talks to me about it, he grabs a random book and tries to read. I have a lot of books. I'm a bookworm.
Then, because it's sims, I decide randomly to change out of my outerwear into my ... formal attire. Go with it.

I sit down, and he stands up immediately. He puts the book down on the coffee table and starts pacing again.
"You could live here." I say brazenly after he tells me he doesn't know where he can go.
"Just like that?" he asks. "You hardly know me."
"I know you better than anyone else in this town after the gobs of time we've spent on the phone." I answer. He's right, of course, but I just have a really good gut feeling about him. He's been dealt a lot of bad luck is all.
"The phone." he says and I see his eyes cut up to me above his sunglasses after staring at the floor. I turn a little to rest my arm across the back of the couch and pull one of my legs up as I wonder if he's imagining me in the bathtub again. I feel a slow smile spread across my face. Gotcha!
"Rose, I have literally nothing but the clothes on my back." he says after I start smiling.
I shrug my shoulders. "So? ... I mean, why not?"
He stands there opening and closing his mouth as each argument comes and goes in his head. It doesn't matter. I've made up my mind. A sim's life doesn't last forever after all, and I'm sick of being alone.

I let out a surprised squeal when he suddenly bounds over and kisses me. Our first kiss and wow. In the back of my mind, I worry about Giacomo and Ron, if he ever gets over himself. Still, I really like Pedro. Yeah, okay, this decision is a little crazy, but I still have a good feeling about it.

--------------------

So, Pedro has been added to the household. He was a service sim, so he brought literally $0 to the family funds. But.. he's cute and has a great personality that I don't remember exactly right now. One of them is family oriented so this should be interesting.

  1. hahahaha poor guy did have a bad day. He must have the unlucky trait. She's better off with him. He's cuter than Ron.

    1. No, he actually doesn't have the unlucky trait. I was thinking as I was writing it that it did seem that way. LOL, no his bad luck is all my doing. I had to come up with some reason for him to be there in the evening again, and for him to move in with her. So, this way, I can have him moonlight at the bar.

I forgot to mention, he brought no money, but BOY this man is skilled! lvl 9 guitar, 10 mixology (of course) as well as a few others at 4 or 5. His traits are all good ones too. His lifetime wish is to be a professional author. Hey! I can remember some stuff LOL.

      Thanks for reading!

    1. ~Yes, she did, and he's hot.
~I'm hoping everything will work out. Though, her boisterous attitude and his almost-shyness might clash a little.
      ~Thanks! (`)> lol

    1. It's funny, but Ron isn't much older than Pedro. Remember, bartenders are regular adults? Hehe, I've worked with it though, and it's so cute.
He's adorable. I really develop his character more in the next one, and I just love him. They need each other.

      Thanks for reading, Zhip!

    1. Hehe, thanks. OMGosh yes! That was the first thing I thought when I found out what his name was that I couldn't help but put that in. I thought about changing his name, but I want to 'fiddle with' as little as possible. The name is growing on me.

      Thanks for reading!

    1. She's a little wild, and that's one of the things that would make her work well with Pedro. He's a little too serious sometimes. They are very cute together. Ron? Hm. He hasn't disappeared.

Do we ever see him without his sunglasses? I guess I'll go find out...

    1. Maybe someday she'll convince him to ditch the sunglasses. That, or when in Rome...

  7. Hi again! I think Pedro is hot as well. Mysterious with the sunglasses, but in a nice sexy way. ;)
