Graham

I always do a memorial page when a sim integral to the story dies.

Graham: the patriarch of the legacy. Lied to, tricked, schemed against, loved, hated, respected.

He made a great history professor, but his career was cut short when the dean of the university found out he dated a minor. Then, thanks to Alexander Goth, he had to search as far as Eden to find a job. After attaining that job, he realized he'd entered into an intelligence agency. At first, he was good at his job. Then he questioned the morals of the agency and gave classified information to Geoffrey Landgraab, hoping he would use the info in a good way. Unfortunately, that hope never came to fruition, and a series of events led him to be arrested, tried, and convicted. Thanks to family and "friends," he was released from prison. But his time in prison festered an old wound: hatred for Alexander Goth, which led to his death. I've since lost track of my listing of who is at what age, so I can't compute his age, but he did make it to 80 at the least--a very, very fit 80+ to say the least.

But he wasn't a bad person. He was very loyal to his morals, which were just. He loved Brielle with all his heart and soul. He loved his children and grandchildren, even going so far as to stand aside when his daughter wanted to marry his hated enemy. He was extremely healthy thanks to his superb workout and eating habits, which later allowed him a stronger physique at old age (he was an elder. promise!). Who knows how much longer he might've lived had the story not twisted itself against him.

And that is where I will admit some guilt. This story has always twisted against him. He was always the one to apologize, always the one trying to make things right against all odds. But it was he who made this story begin.

It wasn't until Graham showed up on the scene did a real plot line come to me. He was a game-created townie that showed up when Brielle and Alex were kids playing on the pirate ship playground. At the time, he was in the mature adult stage, but the second I saw him, I knew I wanted to keep him. He didn't officially show up in the story until after Brielle turned teen, and I aged him down.

So, here's to you, Graham *toast*. Sorry for giving you so much grief. Thank you for giving me the story. You'll be missed. :_(
