Gnomish Behavior 4: You don't want to know

We haven't heard from the mischievous gnomes in a while. Perhaps Bill has given up his quest for world domination... or simply making sims' lives miserable.

Bill: What?!
Me: Oh. Okay. Um, nevermind.
Bill: I've been busy recruiting. What? You think Monte Vista is the only place where sims live? What rock have you been living under?
Me: You just ended in a preposition. And no, of course not. And you like the word 'what,' don't you?
Bill: Well, at least I don't start sentences with conjunctions.

:P

Mr. Mysterious: Gather 'round, my new friends.
Pharaoh Xerxes: Zzzzzzzzz

Bill: Xerxes wasn't Egyptian.
Me: I never said he was.
Bill: Let's get back to the story.
Me: You're the one interrupting.
Bill: .....

Mr. Mysterious: I see a message written in the sky.

Me: I don't know how he can see anything in the skies of Aurora Skies because it rains there almost constantly.
Bill: Now who's interrupting?

Pharaoh Xerxes: Xxxxxxxxx

Bill: Wasn't that supposed to be 'Z'?
Me: I hit the wrong key.

Pharaoh Thutmose: You can learn a lot from reading the stars.
Mr. Mysterious: I'm not reading the stars. Someone is skywriting a message in the sky.
Wags: (wags)
Mr. Mysterious: Who put a beard on the dog?
Pharaoh Thutmose: He came that way. What does the sky-message say?
Mr. Mysterious: It says, "Letter soon to follow."
Pharaoh Thutmose: Letter soon to follow? What does that mean?
Mr. Mysterious: Wags, go check the mailbox.

Wags pops out a look-a-like of himself, also bearded. Mr. Mysterious calls it Beardie.

Mr. Mysterious: Anything yet?
Wags: Woof!
Mr. Mysterious: What does 'Woof!' mean?
Beardie: Woof! (wags and looks at little red flag)

Mr. Mysterious: Good job, boys.

Beardie is a girl.

Mr. Mysterious: Ah, a new one. Bienvenue, Napoleon.
Bob: Who? Oh, me? Nah, I just like the costume. Name's Bob.
Mr. Mysterious: Aren't you from Champs les Sims?
Bob: I was on holiday, minding my own business, when this woman comes and picks me up and sticks me... oh, you don't want to know.
Pharaoh Xerxes: Zzzzzzzzzz
Pharaoh Thutmose: Unnnnnggggghhhh
Mr. Mysterious: Thutmose, would you stop with the zombie act?
Pharaoh Thutmose: I'm not a zombie! I'm a mummy!
Bob: You're not my mummy, I can tell you that.
Wags: Woof!

Mr. Mysterious: Excellent point well made, Wags. We're wasting time. (He clears his throat) I have a note here from a gnome in Monte Vista named Bill.
Bob: Odd name for a gnome in Monte Vista. Or is it the note that's named Bill?
Mr. Mysterious gives him a look: This coming from a gnome from Champs les Sims named Bob. Anyway, it states that he considers it our sacred duty as gnomes to make sims' lives miserable in every way we can.
Wags: Grrrrrrrr
Bob: I believe the pooch is trying to tell us he doesn't agree.
Pharaoh Xerxes snorts and wakes up for a second: I agree.
Bob: You agree with Bill or Wags?
Pharaoh Xerxes: Zzzzzzzz
Mr. Mysterious: I don't see why we should do as this Bill says. It sounds to me like he's only trying to use us to further some evil scheme. Brooke has treated us well.
Bob: Well...
Mr. Mysterious: I'm going to write back and say we're not interested.
Bob: Who put you in charge? Other than Wags here, the rest of us are born leaders. You're not.
Mr. Mysterious: I thought that was just a costume.
Bob stays quiet.

Beardie sits day and night, waiting for a response to Mr. Mysterious' letter.

Meanwhile... at Lucky Palms...

Laundry: Don't change the channel; I'm watching this.
Bear: How can you be watching it if you're sitting off to the side?
Laundry: It's cooler this way. It almost looks 3-D.

Bear: I don't know why we even bother. It's the same thing on every day, and they just repeat themselves.
Laundry: Which is why you should watch it at a whole new angle.

Sims 2 reporter 1: We're getting news reports of an evil snowman, er, evil snowman gnome named Mr. Snow.
Sims 2 reporter 2: I heard he was called Mr. White Christmas.

Me: Read the prompt!

Sims 2 reporter 1: That's trying to take control of city hall in Monte Vista.
Laundry: Where's Monte Vista?
Bear: Heck if I know, but I do know the Llamas have just scored, bringing the score to 24 to 10.
Laundry: Maybe we won't get beat like we did yesterday.
Bear: Somehow, I feel we will.
Laundry: Are you psychic?
Bear: Hush! There's a summer gnome on the TV screen!
Laundry rushes over to the front to see.
Bear: You broke it! You broke the TV! Now what will we do?

Laundry pops back into place: Look, the sim is here to fix it.
Bear: Oh, good. As long as she's around, nothing will break down.
Laundry: Too bad we missed that gnome's message.
Bear: Eh, it probably wasn't important.
Laundry: Wow, this sim lady really gets into fixing the TV doesn't she?

Pat quietly singing: I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world...

Bill: Pat isn't a gnome.
Me: No, not really, but he was acting very gnomish at this point, sitting in front of the magic potion... so close, yet unable to help himself to it.
Bill: He's still not a gnome.
Me: I can do what I want. I am The Maker, after all.
Bill: You sure are power hungry, aren't you?
I hand Bill a mirror.
