Dad, in his tinkering, built a time machine. He comes back with tales of going on a cattle drive, almost getting eaten by a Tyranosaur, and being a court jester. I can't help but worry he's too old for that sort of thing. Mom is 118 days and counting. She constantly complains of her back hurting.
I decide to take a shower and plan to write some immediately after.
Whoa! This is my work attire? ummmmm....
Better.
Mom gets a little confused sometimes. Luckily, Addie was sound asleep when this happened, and I was able to wake Mom up and get her to go back to her own room.
When I walk back into the bedroom, I hear Addie mumbling in her sleep about not wanting to get married. Her tone makes me think that she's talking to my parents.
I don't really want to get married either. I don't know how my parents are going to feel about that.
We never wall-in a part of the porch. We do buy a crib, however, and put it in the hallway. Addie says this way, I can watch the baby while writing. She has no idea... She thinks I can just start and stop writing at whim and not have any difficulty concentrating with a baby behind me. Still, I don't know a better alternative.
Also, Addie no longer wants to wall-in the porch. Since she has time off, she gives painting a shot. Er, don't quit your day job.
Speaking of job, my next book lands me $736/week in royalties. It's a comedy I call You want me to do WHAT with these?
Dad's getting really excited to finally get a grandchild. Not that he doesn't consider Monika and Levi's children his grandchildren, but still.
This is supposed to be a cow robot toy. So... you wind its butt?
Addie has a craving to eat spaghetti and ice cream. Mom makes spaghetti, and Addie eats the ice cream afterwards. (And I don't get credit for completing the want.... what gives? Am I doing it wrong?)
The only thing we've bought is a crib, and suddenly one morning, Addie goes into labor. Being the good dad that I am, or am about to become, I freak out.
My panic attack gets to the point that Addie doesn't want me driving her to the hospital. She drives. On the way there, I start wondering about whether or not I should ask her to marry me. Maybe I'm starting to feel a little sentimental and old-fashioned, but I think it'd kinda be nice for this baby to have married parents.
We still don't know what it is, boy or girl. Dad could've told us, but Addie didn't want to know.
Scream! Where's the hospital?!
Oh. Phew. There it is.
People, meet Bonnie Brewer. Bonnie, meet People.

So, loading the save again caused Nick's age to reset to 27 days 'til older adult. >:| And I keep waiting for Mia to die. She's a tough old broad.
Bonnie was born with the brave trait, and I randomly rolled the genius one because I couldn't decide.
New info: 2 children for the roll
Bonnie will have a sibling someday!

LOL...I always thought it was funny that the woman in labor does the driving. And I don't get credit for those craving wishes either :( sucks so I quit doing them. Congrats on Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteThe funniest I saw was back when Elena had Xavier (Marie's brother) and WALKED to the hospital from her house.
DeleteI think I might have needed to do the 'quick meal' option ice cream. Maybe it was the ice cream maker thing that made it not work.
Thanks!
Seems that Addie might just up and leave the household. She's got some commitment issues ;)
ReplyDeleteShe does.
